What do you mean by this? I run about 10 GHz of high speed Athlons at home and dont have a problem with dial-up. Best to go get coffee or something of that nature but not as bad as SETI@home. If you are referring to D2OL being a bandwidth hog then yes it is and I use NetLimiter to keep it down to 1KB per second.
Fortunately, I was overreacting. I'm on NetZero free and only get 20 min/day (10 hrs/30 days). But I've built up a nice queue of 300 and everything is working fine.
Re: sneakernetting, I figured that much out when my client suddenly refused to display a GUI. (Long story short, don't try pointing to a nonexistant socks proxy with NetCat listening.
