buy a house instead.
rent it out or fix it up and resell it....do something that will make u money instead of pissing it away.
as soon as you drive your new bmw or g35 off the lot imagine yourself flushing 100 $100 bills down the toilet...cuz thats precisely what your doing.
but if you must have the mighty status symbol that is a new car....i'd got with tha g35 .......cuz if you gonna have a bimmer then you gotta start at a 5 series or higher.

What Nissan model is the G35 a rebadged version of?
Or are you saying something along the lines of : Infinity = Nissan as Lexus = Toyota as Acura = Honda?
G35 = Altima
G35C = 350Z
The G35 and Altima have nothing in common, other than versions of the same V6. The Altima is built on the "FF-L" front-wheel drive platform (shared with the Quest, Murano, and Maxima). The G35, in both sedan and coupe form, is built on the "FM" platform shared with the 350Z, FX, and the upcoming M45.Originally posted by: Asharus

Infiniti's quality, both initial and long-term, is excellent. They actually slipped slightly in initial quality this year (probably because of a flurry of all-new products), but they're still very good, much better than Nissan (which, of course, has had many new products as well), and better than BMW as well. Some people attribute this to the fact that most Infiniti vehicles are still assembled in Japan whereas Nissan has shifted much of their production to U.S. plants. Also, their dealership satisfaction ratings are among the best in the industry.I always thought of Infiniti's having poor build quality considering they are Nissans. Am I wrong or have they gotten better?
Also I see a difference between paying more and getting a true luxury coupe or something that's off the same assembly line as an Altima/350z and sharing the same parts with the Nissan label.

I would prefer the G35 because I simply think that it is a better vehicle but also I see 3 series BMWs all over the place. 3 Series BMWs are more for badge buyers that simply want a BMW so they can say they have a BMW - with the exception of the M3 of course.

why would anyone buy a G35.. it's a rebadged Nissan and ugly to boot.
Because it's a Nissan and not a German car for one.
That is not an argument in favor of buying something.
It's a good reason though.![]()

The BMW, because it's a BMW rather than a Nissan.
G35 has different interior, exterior, body from 350Z. They do have a common platform, such as engine, transmission, and suspension components. I don't see what the problem with that is. By your logic, Acura MDX is just an Oddysey with bigger ground clearance.Originally posted by: Asharus

You're thinking of the G35C, plus it's still a 350Z + a backseat.
