Got my 2400+ today and it reads AQYFA 0343WPMW. Anyone know if this stepping is good? I won't be able to fire it up until later this week, but will post max stable OC with the DFI Ultra Infinity A+. Anyone have OC results on the ones from Newegg yet?

Lets see some posts of OC'ing speeds. I have the 2400+ and I am having a hard time getting it above 2.2 Ghz. Nothing stable above 2.2Ghz. I'm running OCZ 3200 EL and NF7-S Mobo. Any suggestions? my vcore is 1.9, vdimm is 2.7. I cant get it to budge...

Oh, my cooling seems fine.. with 2.2Ghz under Prime95 my cpu never goes above 40 C. I have the Thermaltake Silent Boost Fan, used Arctic Silver 5, 4 case fans, 2 PSU fans on a 480 Watt Thermaltake...

Quick note that some may find helpful:
For those of you using ABIT NF7-S boards, in the manual it suggests - If you are adjusting the CMOS settings and you hit a point where you have problems booting into windows, change the CMOS jumpers to clear CMOS. Its located next to the battery(see manual). This clears out any tweaking you might been doing in CMOS... even when I tried to change my settings back to what I had stable it was giving me errors until I completely cleared CMOS. Once CMOS is cleared you can go back into the BIOS and put in the settings of the last stable configuration and then try tweaking a different way. It helped me...Good luck!

Often on Abit boards you can also hold down the insert key (and continue to hold it) after turning on power and booting up. If the problem isn't too severe, the computer will boot at its default speed for ONLY THAT BOOT to give you a chance to change your settings.

This does not sound too encouraging at all....even my 2500+ desktop version goes up to 2.26 stable. I'm wondering what settings you have for the multipler and FSB. 2.2ghz is awefully awefully low!!!
Update: I have it running Prime95 for over 2 hours at 2.28. Stable so far. 190 X 12. It is looking great so far... I've never had a problem once past the first hour running Prime95. I'm going to leave it running for about 6 hours to make sure. I'll let you know.
Oh, also I was wondering... anyone know what the max SUPPORTED voltage on the 2400+ mobile is? AND what is a good CPU temp under full load? When should I worry? I remember reading this somewhere but I have to go to work.

2.28 is still low...and you are not even maxing out your ram yet...so i don't think its your memory. I guess you can probably up your FSB somemore. I was thinking more like 2.4 at least since everyone was speaking so highly about mobile chips. 55degree is about full load in my opinion, but thats just me.

Yeah that is going to be my next step. up the FSB to 400. That will put me at 2400 where I hope to stay stable. What about the max voltage for mobile chips? anyone know?
Also, I just posted this in the overclock forum... has anyone had problems with the ABIT recognizing your CPU? Mine (2400+ Mobile) shows up as "unknown CPU running at..." Apparently this is an ABIT problem - anyone else had this?
Same here with my abit. So far my 2400+ AQYFA 0343 is prime stable 2338 1.75 volts. I'm going to see how much faster i can get this tonight.
Can you give more information about your setup? FSB? Multiplier? RAM? Timings? Vdimm? CPU Temps? any of that would be helpful... I'm so pissed I didnt look at my chipset before I put it together to see what my #'s are.
mine have shown up as unknown in shuttle and msi boards also - until I converted them to MP's...
the chips are already SMP enabled - you have to blow the third L5 bridge which de-mobilizes them. after this, they should be recognized as MP's, but unless you have a N-Force board, you might have to hardwire the multiplier...

I had to order one of the 2500 Ms I will post results and hope more will post there results, What else are we going to buy with AMD up in the air with where they are going, would love to jump on the AMD64 but knowing they are coming out with a new line of different socket it seems foolish, I have been looking at Intel alot more now than I ever have.
