You are a "centrist" insofar as "centrist" generally means "hard right winger". The reality is that most people who call themselves "centrists" are on the hard-right. That's what "centrist" means, especially in the US.

Who are these "far left" people? I grew up among far leftists - they believed in the inevitability and desirability of the violent overthrow of capitalism and the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat. Who on this forum has called for that? The moderate, centre left would be democratic socialists (like the DSA, I guess). Maybe there are a few of that persuasion?

Most posters on here seem to be varying degrees of conservative (in particular, an unthinking type of American nationalism seems to be all-pervasive). The Israel thread, for example, has featured outright calls for ethnic cleansing and applauding of war crimes.

I consider myself quite right-wing these days, insofar as I don't know that I have much faith in 'democratic socialism' yet alone the revolutionary form (really I don't know what I believe, have no thought-out ideology at all).

Is there a breakdown from this poll? The last few controversial polls have been 60% right leaning.
