Why? I'm sure "We will all get through it to live another day..."!

It's surely a good thing that a bunch of your population doesn't start their lives with massive debt? You're a rich country, you can afford to educate your people.

If you sign a contract for something you should be required to live up to the agreement. You shouldn't require others to pay for your loan.

Amazing a Politician doing stuff for people who vote for them. Who would have thought…..
I’d take an agreement on that if no more tax cuts for businesses that are profitable happen.

My first beef is that the loan recipient should do what was agreed to when they signed the loan.

My second is that the President doesn't have control of the purse strings and should not be allowed to spend upwards of 400 Billion Dollars IAW with Congressional Budget Office.

You ever take a tax deduction for mortgage interest? How exactly is that so different except one benefited you and the other doesn't?

Yes that is the same thing... NOT.

I guarantee you have had no issue with bailouts of the rich and Republicans. You can say you do now but we all know you don't. You've never voted that way so we all know it's a bunch of bullshit. You love rich person bailouts and breaks. You just hate when an average person gets anything like it.

Now fuck off.

The Supremes already blessed Presidents spending as they see fit when they approved Trump’s patently unconstitutional border wall diversions.

If today’s students were afforded the same opportunities available when you were college age, the loan issue wouldn’t be an issue. But the boomers who benefited from taxpayer support of education said “f’ that” wrt those who followed and cut funding.

You don't know shit. LOL

What I have an issue with is Biden bypassing the House that controls the purse strings and spending to the tune of 400 Billion Dollars or more. He doesn't have the authority to do this because it is illegal as stated by the Texas Federal Court.

“The program is thus an unconstitutional exercise of Congress’s legislative power and must be vacated,” wrote Judge Mark Pittman, who was nominated by then-President Donald Trump. “In this country, we are not ruled by an all-powerful executive with a pen and a phone,” he continued.

And

A lawsuit brought by six Republican-led states is pending at the 8th US Circuit Court of Appeals. On October 21, that appeals court put an administrative hold on the program, banning the administration from canceling any debt. The appeals court then granted a preliminary injunction request from the states on November 14. The injunction will “remain in effect until further order of this court or the Supreme Court of the United States,” according to the order.

The Supremes already invalidated this Trump judge’s screed. Shitting on the Constitution comes with a cost so eat your vegetables.

Oh what horse shit. If you are not going to repay the loan then don't sign for it.

You make it sound like the Boomers all got a free college education. Most of the kids I graduated with didn't go to college. You want to know why? They couldn't afford it and were smart enough to know they couldn't. They also had the integrity to not sign up for loan they couldn't repay. College was cheaper back then, but so was everything else. The wages weren't much either. Yeah I remember rocking with my 3,000 dollar a year job. I joined the Navy to get an education to get better pay.
