I'm wondering just how many steaming turd lawsuits Trump's been flinging at the walls will make it to his stacked Supreme Court where he hopes his handpicked agents will give him what they owe him.

SCOTUS is going to touch none of this. The goals of conservative jurists, while often horrible in their own right, are not compatible with overthrowing the election that could result in them loosing that which they have pursued for so long.

Out of the ones that might make it that far, I hope you're right. My skepticism is borne out of the numerous egregious things the conservatives on that court have stooped to in order to satisfy the folks who engineered their ascension to that hallowed bench.

Well, I guess it's going to come down to simply waiting it out for high noon on January 20th, 2021 eastern standard time. We had hoped that Trump would give up sooner, or the courts would finally and permanently shut Donald Trump down, or that republicans would come to their senses, but THAT apparently IS NOT going to be the case. And so, as Donald Trump continues to play his little games every which way he can, the rest of us will just have to wait it out. There is not going to be a quick fix happening here. We will have no reasonable people stepping in to resolve this in good time. This Trump insanity is going to continue on and on and on right up to the day of January 20th 2021. So expect nothing else, expect no knight in shinning armor to ride in on a white horse, we all will just have to wait it out until the very end. Forget about lawsuits, forget about state certifications, forget about transitions, what we need to focus on now is.... high noon January 20th 2021 and shall Donald Trump be dragged from the Whitehouse by his feet or by his arms? THAT is the only way this never ending nightmare is going to end, by the feet or by the arms. So sit back people.... there will now be a two month intermission before our program continues. I do hope that no one was getting antsy about this?

This isn't going to work since either they'll be ordered by state court to certify or the gov will replace them. Certification isn't optional.

These delay tactics the Repubs are engaging in remind me of how during all out war either side would burn to the ground whatever the enemy could use while executing a tactical withdrawal maneuver. The first things to go? Bridges that each side could use to negotiate armistices or at least a ceasefire that leads to meaningful parlay.

No such luck with Trump though. The bridges are gone and Trump wants to keep things hot 'til every last drop of his supporters' blood is spilt.

The basis of the current fraud claim is that some votes in the election are fraudulent essentially only because black people cast them. Eliminating the EC does solve a lot of problems but not sure about this particular one which is rather persistent.

He won't flip anything. They'll recount, sue, claim fraud & conspiracy but state authorities will certify their elections, the electoral college will cast their votes & Biden will be inaugurated on schedule.

Just Georgia is not enough to flip the election, but it might be enough reason for Trump to try to suspend the constitution by claiming if Georgia is now trying to send new electors, then we are in new territory and that warrants whatever action he is trying to take.

What a country. If you know anyone that continues to support Trump, try to ostracize them emotionally and economically. These people need to be dismissed from existing with rational people at this point. I'd also say make sure you are armed.
