I did not follow Beto in TX, but, could the Dems do two white guys for 2020? I don't see the Dems doing that honestly. I would vote for Biden and Beto personally, but, I don't know if the party could do that.

Two white dudes is the only way they get the now swingy PA, MI, WI, MN, IA votes. Both are genuine and compassionate and relate-able. They aren't hateful, misogynist or toxic personalities. They'll poll well with women and not turn away minority votes.

Also, I think he fits well with the anti-PC crowd. He is known for saying things that are true, but, are considered gaffs. I think post Trump that could be a strength for him.

He may be pro-gun, but he's not an irresponsible gun fetishist like many Republicans; his upbringing may mean that he doesn't like abortion, but he believes that's a personal choice, not something to force on others.

In essence, he supports Democratic values -- just in a way that makes it harder for Republicans to play up fears.

I disagree. The constitutional duty of Congress is to oversee the conduct of the executive branch and the amount of corruption that has been allowed to happen unchecked over the last two years likely has no precedent in US history.

There should be new hearings every day and new subpoenas every day. Two years won’t be close to enough time to get through all the sleaze so it’s important to get started right away.

Depends on who leads that charge and is most vocal. Trump could easily twist this to a second term.

Fully agree. Trump got a huge boost from the anti PC side. Biden being blunt and honest would nullify Trump's advantage there. Mix that with the Dems voting record on voting during pres elections, and its a great combo. I think Biden beats Trump easily.
