What did you expect? Its florida, america's wang.
It's a state that every year gets absolutely destroyed by hurricanes and people just keep rebuilding.
Florida is where people go either to retire and die or when they're at the end of their rope or running from the police in their home state or something.
Well, not really, plenty of working folk here, it's just that they are too dam lazy to check out what any political candidate is actually saying. The GOP candidates can rely on the 100% turnout of the 75+ crowd, the young voters need to get involved and understand the retarded choices made won't stop until they get off their ass and vote.

Yea, tell me, here in FL Rick Scott beat longtime senator Bill Nelson for exactly what no one knows. Dude was CEO of Columbia healthcare that was caught defrauding Medicare and had to repay $1.4 BILLION. He's gutted the education system here in FL, we are 45th in teacher salary and student's test scores reflect that. A co worker's wife is a teacher, she has to bring in toilet paper because there's not enough in the budget to last for a full month. Ron Desantis won governor by 77K votes, the man had NO PLATFORM for his campaign, just 'keep doing what Rick Scott did", then he did everything but get on his knees and suck Trump's dick in public, complete with his 4yr old building a mini Trump "wall" on a TV ad. He took $$ from a Neo-Nazi group and refused to return it when pointed out, AND HE STILL WON. I've had to endure plenty of FL jokes here, (and from family) and you know what?, WE DESERVE IT..
So much this. I know it's Florida, but damn. Scott is just a pathetic citizen, a true deplorable. I'm really out of touch with that segment of society I suppose but that doesn't bother me one damn bit.

You don't get it? Mister smarter then everyone else. This is the democrats major issue and all the pundits and all the fucking " geniuses" around here don't understand actual humans. When you start out calling someone stupid they bust wanna punch your nose back into your little pointy head. You sound like fucking Trump.

We need to listen to each other. We need to recognize other peoples fears, hopes, dreams, yadda yadda and try to find either a common ground or a happy medium and get rid of the separatists like Pelosi and Trump.

Our countries issues arent created by voters they are created by power hungry politicians playing us all.

This actually is my point. My basic position is if you think your government is shitty as most American's do based on polling, don't vote for the same people who only grow more comfortable and less responsive to your needs. Currently I don't support the GOP because they clearly are creating more problems than they are solving. The GOP is currently more focused on entrenching their power than actually trying to use it to solve problems. If the other party reaches a point of the same level of complacency, I'll vote against them too. I actually would love a third option but there isn't one.

I mean it kind of was a blue wave. Assuming the current projected margin holds the only larger wave in our lifetimes will have been 2008.

The fact that this wasn’t a total blowout in end effects is a statement as to how badly the system is rigged in the House.

And as you know, the Senate. It's fucked up. If Republicans keep getting control of it, we're fucked. It's incredibly important for Dems to win it in 2020.

One of the more interesting things to watch is whether Republicans can put the Senate out of reach for Democrats in 2020. If they win each of Nevada, Arizona and Florida — and hold on, as expected, in the Mississippi runoff — they’ll gain a net of four seats from Democrats and make the overall Senate 55-45 in their favor. That’s a lot of “ifs,” of course, but these uncalled Senate races are still really important. -- Nate Silver

With the current rules, what's the difference between the Republicans controlling the senate with 51 seats or 70?

If they don't win it in 2020, then no court packing or other drastic measures (adding Puerto Rico, DC Senate seats etc.) to correct a lot of the BS. We'd have to wait until 2022, but it would be a midterm year.

There simply would be too high of a number of seats the Dems would have to flip at 54-55 votes, compared to how many actual R seats would be up for grabs in 2020.

If the Republicans got to 60 in the Senate they could reinstate the filibuster and dare the Democrats to harpoon it if they ever got a slim majority.

Way to go Republicans! You just re-elected representatives that are actually currently under indictment. The party of law and order, lol.

Duncan hunter & Chris Collins.

In liberal states no less. Fucking idiots.

Of course Menendez in Jersey won re-election as well/eyeroll

I can't imagine them doing such a thing as it would seriously hurt themselves but dumber things have been done before.

That is true but I was speaking more from a legislative standpoint.

Well its at 213 in the house with 218 needed for control. I think with the 4 from Hawaii.. it's looking within reach.

Overall a bittersweet night. I was hoping against hope for a Beto win, expected a Nelson win, and wanted to see DeSantis and Kemp lose. I actually thought Kobach was gonna win, so pleasantly surprised there.

Just in--kinda funny to see 2 indicted Republicans win their elections after refusing to step down. Republicans just showing their naked hypocrisy as the supposed "law and order party".

Overall, still a good night for Dems--picking up the House and governorships in key states (but losing New England?) and a great night for women of either party.

On a personal note, since all politics is local, I'm thrilled that Democrats have broken the supermajority in both chambers of the NC legislature. We also have a great new State Supreme Court Justice, who helped lead the fight against unconstitutional voter ID. Except, voters just passed an amendment to the state constitution enacting voter ID (LOL!)

You must have a weird definition of "crushed".

he focuses a lot on Alabama..which sounds like he lives in Alabama..which means he is surrounded by Alabama, so, not much real information getting into that sector of humanity, I'd wager.

The fix is in.

ABC News is projecting that GOP Rep. Rob Woodall has won the Georgia 7th, where he leads Democrat Carolyn Bourdeaux 51 percent to 49 percent. Apparently, there was a data error earlier that gave Bourdeaux the lead.

We still need to see the rest of the Senate. If the Republicans sweep those left, it's a bad night for Democrats.
