Only movie I've seen nominated is Mad Max which has no business being nominated for best movie at all.

I never watch award shows so I'll catch the results tomorrow.

Why not?

I thought this for a few seconds when I first saw the list, as well, but honestly I can't think of a better picture this year. A lot of that being a very weak year, but it truly is the best Action flick in a generation--and I think the best action flick ever. I believe that counts for something.

People were once crying about The Dark Knight not being nominated...which was stupid. TDK should not have been nominated.

I think Mad Max deserves it simply from doing what directors and studios have refused to do for so long: make a real action movie. It is to action genre what musicals are--highly choreographed, stylized, real stunts, real sets, real vehicles and props. Brilliant editing and sound mixing, perfectly-crafted, living world, great yet simple story....just all types of brilliant and endlessly entertaining.

I'd love it, but ya just know that isn't going to happen.

I honestly thought it was the best movie of the year myself. Just because I got a blast out of it I guess 🙂

The Drop is another one that made my watch every now and then list.

Shit, that was this year? ...is that what Hardy was nominated for? (Well, I guess he didn't get a lead role nom...which would be a crime) I haven't paid that much attention to the nominees. 😀

I thought this movie, and particularly his performance was fantastic. He was all over Brando from On The Waterfront.

I was just mentioning The Drop myself.

I hope Fury Road at least gets a lot of production recognition.

They really did go balls to the wall there.

I'd like an even bigger surprise and have it get best picture.

I kind of want leo to finally win one, but I also want to see all the new internet memes that come up when he doesn't win.

Wow, was another big accident at the intersection out here.

A Jeep Wrangler and something like a CX9 got in a fight big time.

The wife is still out there, I went out and looked, at least no one appears injured.
