I'm glad we're getting into the good stuff now. I hate these little cupcake games. I'm not a huge Alabama fan, but I am all for SEC domination, so Roll Damn Tide.

It's a pretty common stereotype for black women to not know the father, or have the kids not know the father. If you weren't implying that, then there is only one other option. That my wife is a whore who doesn't know who the father is. But since you don't have the balls to explain or back up your statement I'm left to guess. Either way it's incredibly disrespectful to say something like that about someone's wife on the forums. Goes a long way to show what kind of person you are. Congratulations.
 
FWIW, I didn't get any racial overtones from his comment (and didn't even notice your wife was black until you said something and I went back to the pics - she's gorgeous). I think he was trying to insult you by implying your wife must be cheating on you because you outpunted your coverage so to speak.

Yeah, no need to be offended if the insult was that his wife is simply a whore. lol I think the better insult would have been the overalls, as those are fair game! 😀 I noticed the team inspired overalls the first time last weekend on hot coeds at the Alabama v UT and OSU v Wisc games. I didnt think they made them for men, but maybe I saw them at the games and tuned them out.

Innocent joke that shouldn't offend? Claiming my wife slept with so many people that she didn't know that father? Bro humor in bars? No, not hardly. None of my "bros" would ever make that joke about my wife. I'm not surprised someone here would though, shows what kind of person they are.

Yeah, I don't know what to tell you man. I've only ever known it to be an innocent joke. It's not meant to call your wife a whore, but it's used to imply "haha, your wife cheated on you because you're a goober!" Cheating isn't the same as being a whore. (Men can just as easily be whores, too, so I find the distinction to be meaningless, fwiw) It's only ever been met with humor, understanding, and zero-rods-in-ass when I've seen it deployed.

I can appreciate your being offended by it if taking that comment as literally as you did, but I guess that kind of talk requires no rods up one's ass and a certain type of humor to appreciate? I dunno, is it cultural, maybe? I guess my experience of going to college football games and having fun in a ridiculous manner like that (believe me--I've done more shameful things to myself than wear some fugly over-hauls 😀" means that my buddies and I can rib each other like that with no ill intent. It is classic bro talk, I assure you.

Anyway, let get back to the topic. Texas A+M vs. Bama game will be a good game this weekend. Both are undefeated and will fight like heck to stay that way. Come on Aggies, Texas Longhorns team is a losing cause this season, step right up.

Was surprised that is a 330 game and not in the 7pm spot.
 
Enjoy the Verne while you can. His voice basically defines college football in my mind. I listen to the night time PAC12 games and it just sounds wrong.

I dunno, I still think of Keith Jackson as being the definitive college football voice. The only time I notice the announcers now is when Herbstreit does the games, because he's such an OSU homer.
