First football weekend is here, talking heads are all exciting about this being the greatest opening weekend of all time, but after the results will have to see how scheduling goes next year.

This was USC's worst season opening loss EVER. Consider the history for context: Before losing 52-6 to Alabama, USC's worst season opening loss was in 1896!!!!! It was a 30-0 loss to Whittier Reform, according to the game notes. Not exactly the kind of history USC was looking to make here tonight ...
 
Yesterday sucked for the PAC12.....USC, UCLA, AZ all goin down....Huskies looked good but Rutgers sux.
 
Notre Dame vs Texas...holy crap. Just started to casually watch it cause I kinda hate both teams, and it turned into one of the best CF games I've seen in recent memory. Gotta love the first team to 50 wins games, but a blocked extra point and return to tie a game?
 
I am a long time LSU fan but the offense was beyond pathetic yesterday. HS teams can play better offense than what Cameron (LSU offense coordinator) and company delivered yesterday. New season, same ole offense crap (run run and run some more than try to pass then 3 and out and pray for the defense to hold..rinse, repeat).
 
Don't think Les will survive another year with mediocre offense.

And props to the rebels for thoroughly choking one up last night.

This is a prime example of why I don't really like College Football that much, because the majority of games are just flat out sloppy and minimal defense. Sure it's entertaining, but not something I can get serious about.

That said, the highlights were fun to watch for sure.
