He was terrible the first game, constantly tossing into 2-3 man coverage. Called an INT coming just before he tossed the pick 6.

Not sure how much it was him just getting better or a warning how cincy will be this year.

Even if Cincy was bad, Winston looked to be making good decisions and making good throws. His movement in the pocket wasn't terrible and he ran decent.

Haha distinctly remember watching that game and making a mental note: DO NOT DRAFT WINSTON IN FANTASY.

The dumpster fire that is the 49ers this year will be rather hilarious. Shame I won't be around to observe it--but I suspect the incidence of young hotties wearing shiny new Kaeapernick jerseys will decrease significantly.

I think at this point you should scratch out the Browns and replace with 49ers in the title.

Tyrod Taylor and EJ Manuel both looked good for Buffalo today. I expect Taylor to be named the starter.

When's the funeral? :whiste:

I'd have to agree. Their thinking has to be something along the lines of "Hey, we were contending for a title two season ago but had a down year last year. Let's fire the head coach that got us there, screw around with the roster, and I'm sure we will be just fine!"

Looks like there are reports the front office of the 'skins want to get rid of RG3 and, surprise!, are getting pushback from ownership. His '16 contract is really hurting his tradability as well, as reports are also suggesting they've reached out to other teams for a trade and that is a big issue.

I'm thinking God's Best Friend TTII for RGIII straight up. ;)

It looks like Dez might be more injured than is being let on. I hope not, as a Cowboys fan and as someone who drafted him in fantasy. =(

Individual film is about all you get.

For the scrubs, otherwise it's largely still meaningless. Teams should already be plenty aware of their players athletic capability, and they won't learn much more than that for most positions as they won't be running their schemes/formations/playbook.

Personally I wish they'd cut out the preseason altogether, and just setup a developmental league.

If they had some kind of development league like they do in soccer in Europe, calling players up wouldn't be such a huge risk. And the fluidity provided for teams to have talent ready would make a lot of the meaningless draft garbage unneeded.

But, I'm sure advertisers would love that... Less potential to sell us shit.

I've always felt this as well. Every other major sport has successful developmental league programs.

Have a developmental league. Each team gets to field a full roster of players for their developmental league. Change the current "practice squad" players to "protected players" that other teams can't poach as long as they are under contract. Give like 10 protected players per NFL team. All other developmental players are fair game if you sign them to an NFL contract. Have most games Friday night so you don't affect the college games by much, and definitely don't affect the NFL sunday games.

Bonus, you can use this to train new coaching talent as well as train new referees. It's not just players that the league could use but coaching talent as well.

Colts cut Donald Thomas - signed him for 4 years, $14 million to shore up their offensive line in 2013 and he has played 2 games since then.
