ya man in the last two weeks he went from a mid late first to a top 5 possibly. Not bad for the kid. Good for news for 49ers is there are gonna be so many difference makers at wideout that they can go bpa in the first and grab anyone else they want in the second or even get a steal in the third. So many good guys. I bet DGB is available at 15

Jameis Winstons hands on the small side. Big flag for a number 1 overall. I dont care really but I bet it gets a bunch of mention.

Once again proving if any team can be this dumb, it's the Browns. If the Rams could dump the salary cap hit from Bradford and pick up some draft capital from CLE that would be their second straight fleecing in 4 years although I don't think a 2nd rounder will get it done and knowing the Browns they'll pay more when pushed.

Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reports the Browns will "take a real run" at trying to trade for Sam Bradford. Relaying Combine buzz, Cole reports the Browns will aggressively pursue quarterbacks, and Bradford is at the "top of their list," with free agent Josh McCown as a fallback option. Cole floats a second- or third-round pick as potential trade compensation. Bradford has reportedly informed the Rams he will not take a pay cut, which may complicate his future in St. Louis. If he falls out of the Rams' plans -- which still seems unlikely -- the Browns would love to be there to catch him.

Stupid. He's more likely to get cut if he doesn't take a paycut.. they should just wait it out.

thats just cray cray isnt it? Browns give value where there isnt any. Who knows though maybe he will turn it around like David Harris who has been durable after his third reconstruction

I almost have to think this story originated with the Rams who are trying to create a trade. The Browns are only mentioned because they're the most dysfunctional team in the league and it's almost believable they'd do this. They've assumed the mantle of "dumbest team in the league" from Oakland and aren't looking back.

can you guys believe the balls on Adrian Peterson to say hes unsure about playing in Minnesota because he thought the team didnt have his back?

Fuck him and his switch. Maybe the commisioner can give him the option. If he wants to return next year the Vikings fans can hit his nuts with a switch repeatedly for his transgressions.

The idiot beats his kid bloody and thinks hes in the wrong? I wish the NFL would ban him for an additional year. The vikings got screwed this year and he gets payed over 10 million and hes the one thats been wronged.

Guy is posturing to get a big contract from Jerry Jones and the the vikings fans get bukake in their face.

Good job NFL

Vic Beasley surprised many when he showed up at 246 and cut like a mofo. Guy did 34 reps on the bench press which is crazy for a lb and SMOKED in the 40. Guy made millions of dollars today.

He could change up the entire top 10.

Leonard Williams looks like the real deal. Explosive and has big hands that crush people. Runs effortlessly for a big guy. Really good talent.

Danny Shelton looked good but not as effortless as Williams though he is a different player. He had great feet and was crazy slow which doenst matter at all. Guy did 34 reps on the bench and looked like a good guy. Fun day at the combine to fast forward though on your dvr guys.

Vikings getting screwed over by the Cowboys? I'm all for it! I remember what happened last time that went down, and I'm all for some more SB wins!

Seriously though, I can understand Peterson's position. The Vikings weren't exactly supportive. They did pay him, but wouldn't commit to him returning. He is looking out for this future.

Has he been reinstated? He should be suspended without pay if he got paid while not playing.

DeAngelo Williams apparently cut by the Panthers. Reason given: "We don't run the ball enough"... So, in order to fix their moronic system costing Scam Newton longevity, they are cutting RBs. Lol, okay Panthers.

I don't understand your second sentence about "Scam Newton" but:

- I find Gettleman makes some very questionable personnel decisions.

- Williams is getting pretty old.

- He's been hurt a lot.

- They're paying him a ton of money

- Lately RB's can be had for cheap.

I don't disagree with this move. Williams and Stewart are both getting old, injured often and paid a ton. If they think they can pick up a good new RB then it makes sense. They need some youth at the position and seem to be keeping Stewart around to teach the new guy.

In general, I find the Panthers way too quick to release someone who has proven themselves and can command real money. For quite a while they have let too many good players go. But in this case, age/money/injury and a strong RB draft class makes this a reasonable move IMO.

They run Newton like an RB far too much for his career to be very long in this league. At some point, either he needs to speak up, or he will continue to get dinged up year after year with nothing to show for it.

The reasons they said were, according to Williams, we don't run enough for two RBs in the backfield. I just have a feeling they won't even both attempting to replace Williams, which is terrible for Newton.

Totally agree they gotta protect Newton more. The Panthers this morning have said they havent cut him yet so I bet this was to get his name out there so they could set a market price in case he did hit free agency. I bet the real convo was how much of a pay cut can you take to stay with the team.

Tedd Ginn Jr cut. Wonder how much he has left in the tank.

Anyone else watch some of the combine? Mike Mayock singing Funkadelic was pretty funny and the drills were really cool to see. Not worth watching in its entirety but fast forwarding it to the action isnt bad.

Combine highlighed the deep positions and exposed some players. Was surprised to see Smith run only in the 4.4 range after looking like the fastest guy on the field in all the Ohio state games.

Adrian Petersen's agent got into a altercation with a Vikings exec at the combine. Its been confirmed as actually happening by event staff and other writers.

Adrian Petersen is a scumbag to pull this. His agent is pissed he lost 10 million last year though six of that was from endorsements. He only lost 4 million in bonus's and production escaltors. Cant believe the balls of this guy. Really wish the NFL would put him on vacation for another year. Make him sit 2 years and see how much money you make then.

I really hope the vikings go public with this and all the advertising agencies see him as toxic.

I have no clue what the Titans will do at 2 now. Winston will be gone and I'm not sold on Mariota at all. If they can't trade down and snag some additional picks then I want them to take Williams.

Lol, that won't be even close to happening. If the NFL doesn't reinstate him, they are 110% fucked in court. Their own conduct policy would have been violated TWICE in the same season. First, with Ray Rice and then with AP. They already lost the Ray Rice ban, you think they would win against a 2 year AP one? He will be playing in week 1 this upcoming season, likely, not as a Viking.

I think the Titans best move is to trade the pick. While, I think Mariota showed well under center, he is a work in progress and they need something immediately viable.

While your right on him playing week one next year I just dont like his attitude here. Really shows insights into his character as well. Minnesota should make him play there. He has a contract and Minnesota should make him honor it out of principle. Would be even more awesome if they made him play and started Mckinnon and brought him in on the second play every down out of spite. Now I know a team would never do this but I would like to see this type of behavior punished vs rewarded.

anecdotally do you guys think Marshawn Lynch has a speech impediment and anxiety issues? His behavior is more and more suspect.

They should trade down and maybe snag a QB in a later round. I'm not sold on either of the top 2 QB prospects.

We don't know if this was his agent acting on his own, or if AP told his agent to go confront Vikings personnel. I find it hard to believe AP would do such a thing, but who knows. The article I read said the argument got heated and the agent lead into it with "AP will never play in a Vikings uniform again." AP has already publicly stated he is unhappy with how the Vikings handled it, from an inside perspective (which is something we will never see). The Vikings have stated they want to keep AP (because, he is likely the best RB in football right now).

I think Lynch likely has some anxiety issues and an "IDGAF" attitude to go with it. I mean, look at how Ricky Williams acted. Lynch doesn't want to have to go through all the same bullshit Q and A every player does, because it is all bullshit. They can't answer questions like they would normally answer. They are canned garbage that doesn't mean anything. Of course, he is going to say opponent is a tough defense and blah blah bullshit. He can't say "fuck those guys, they are pussies, and I am going to beast mode up their loose buttholes".

So, is it the city's right to have a football team now? If a city wants an NFL team to remain in their market, what incentive does a team have to be there if a larger or more profitable market is available? NFL teams bring in tourism and increase marketability of the the cities themselves. Sure, the 49ers just got basically a tax free loan on the SF tax payers dime, but the overall benefit of having them remain in that area is a positive one.

You can cry all you want about cities catering to sports teams, but I'm sure you'll be the first to cry when we stop that and teams start moving every other year.

If San Diego losses the Chargers to LA, only a minority of the city will actually care. The team has been threatening to move for fifteen years now. If they do move, most of the city will basically say "don't let the door hit you on the way out." We're kind of a unique situation of having so many transplants that most sports fans have previous allegiances. The natives have hated Spanos since he forced a sellout guarantee on the city for years while fielding a shitty team. Once the sellout guarantee was over, surprise surprise, they started getting good again.

If the Chargers do move to Carson to share a home with the Raiders, they become the Clippers. LA are Raiders primarily and Rams fans secondary. The Chargers are having some success in OC/LA but only because there is no other NFL team there. The Raiders moving there as well would screw them completely and it would be a nightmare for Spanos if the Rams get to LA first. The Chargers will have to be a competitive team every year if they want to stay relevant in LA.

Personally, I only would support a new Chargers stadium on the existing land that they have and not the downtown area that they want it in. If they leave, so be it. They threaten it so much it I assume they will move.

If San Diego is going to spend $600 million on a new project, I'd want them to expand the convention center to keep Comic-Con. It's 2/3rds of a Super Bowl every year and a convention center will be used more than ten days a year.

IDK, but I've long suspected that it's Newton himself calling for his runs. I.e., he audibles a run by himself.

I have no confidence in Gettlemen (sp?) and I think it would be a huge mistake to not get another RB. Stewart seems to get hurt often. I can't remember the 3rd string guy's name. He is a bowling ball. He's pretty good on 3rd and short, but you simply must have at least a 3rd RB IMO.

Tolbert, the Bowling Ball.
Fozzie Whitaker is a decent cheap replacement for Deangelo Williams. Williams has not delivered the past few seasons and the only reason to keep him is for the team to show 'loyalty' to its former stars. Williams was in the local news today criticizing team mgmt. I think he should just appreciate his huge payday that resulted from past accomplishments.
