Grey's anatomy is still on?!

How much more drama can come across Meredith?

That, muppets, nashville, Ken, last man are among the ones I recall of the standard schedule not yet extended. First three are the ones to be in trouble, last two are negotiated with other production company types.

Yeah they need to put that baby to bed. ASAP.

Speaking of babies, there are too many babies now in the series. Meredith has 3. Another potential baby was actually just announced in the most recent episode. Ha.

I bailed out around season 3 or so, as I really hated how whiny Meredith was, but then I started watching again maybe season 8 or 9. This is one of the only current series that I get to watch together with the wife, as she loves it and I can tolerate it, so yeah, I'm still watching.

Having said that, I just watched last week's episode last night, and I think it's in the running for the worst GA episode ever. It is absolutely infuriating how the writers seem to really hate Kepner character and run her completely to the ground. She's become basically pure evil now.

Dr. Ken not renewed. Didn't really like it that much initially but it's grown on me.

There's still a couple of months before it can be said to be definitively cancelled for the next season. I've read that the holdup may just be from Last Man Standing contract negotiations since ABC will probably want to keep them together.

Why do networks even bother with scheduling anymore. I haven't watched anything live for at least the past decade. The sole exception might be the Superbowl. As for anything else, the most I'll do is chase behind the live broadcast. If you start at the beginning once the broadcast is 20 minutes in, you still end up finishing the show with everyone else.

And the idea that most people can't afford a DVR doesn't make sense either. Even if you just have basic cable, you're paying at least $50-60 bucks per month anyway. If you're watching OTA broadcasts, you can still get a Tivo or something. The whole idea of scheduling seems mostly pointless.

Lol, Angie Tribeca often scores pretty damn high on the "awful" meter, but I watch it anyway . . . even eagerly.
Yeah, Angie Tribeca is awful, everyone hates it

No laugh track, it requires an actual sense of humor to realize it's funny.

In case you didn't understand the full tenor of my post, it can be pretty damn awful and it is also, often enough, lol funny, which is why, as I said, I watch it eagerly.

In an interview CBS said they're are planning on renewing 5 of their freshmen shows (of 7 ordered) in response to limited pilot shows ordered for next season. Angel has already been cancelled of 5 new shows that premiered and final 2 new shows are about to have initial viewings so expect one of them to survive along with four already on (including supergirl).

In the WTF department, The Tick renewed via Amazon.

I saw that.. I'm hoping that it'll be better than the version that was on back in the 90s. With CGI being much better, here's hoping this will work. I loved the Tick cartoon, that was brilliant, but the live action version blew.

I didn't even realize that there had been a live action version. The cartoon was passable but I can only imagine how much the live version must have sucked.

I don't really understand the need to make live action versions of anime. The few I've seen have been awful.

It's one of the jokes that will never go away about in game advertising.

The live action version of The Tick was freaking awesome. Again, another series with no laugh track, so it was over the heads of people that need to be prompted about what's funny. It deserves another shot.

In the same vein, I wanted to see more done with No Heroics. Another superhero comedy that died far too quickly after getting great reviews. Too bad nothing ever came of the attempts to do an American version of it. Maybe if The Tick reboot works they'll revisit No Heroics down the road.

Good news for the Comic Fans; CW just renewed their entire schedule. Only thing not covered is one Summer show, and B&B which is entering it's already announced final season.
