What's the matter, feeling guilty?

Your running posts post $3.50 will never cover the fact you left $50 hard cold cash on the table from me for all the world to see because you were wrong.

You can't stand that you've been "MCOWENED"

I have not been McOWNED. Gas was below $3.50 and as we've seen for the past several days, well below in some cases. I wouldn't want to take your $50 -- for me, that's pocket change but for you, that's probably a big chunk of your rent in the ghetto.

You have repeatedly made a fool our of yourself. Several stations still reporting gas under $3.30 a gallon -- where was your post talking about the price drop? $3.21 a gallon was reported as recently as 3 hours ago. Even the stations near me, which are normally higher-priced than others due to their proximity to I-70, are hovering around $3.40. I'll say it again -- MCOWNED!

You moved the goal posts after the initial prices were posted to ensure that you would be "RIGHT" 😡

Numbers were posted before; you issued your challenge after numbers had changed and/or added conditions.

Every post you make you are MCOWENED for all the world to see because you and your buds like Jowo, Cabri are here.

We're all pointing and laughing at you, you delusional tool. I'm sure the microsecond gas prices jump, you'll be here to report that but conveniently ignore the regular drops as well.

Exactly. Dave is extremely dishonest and everyone (except him) knows it.

As I've said repeatedly, only to be called an oil thug by sweetie pie. Guess it takes an oil thug to know one, eh, Dave?

Truth. But it's only a screensaver!

Say it isn't so!!

“The brief increase in the national average now appears over, as gas prices this past week have resumed their decline,” said Patrick DeHaan, an analyst for GasBuddy.com. “Not a single state saw its gas price average rise in the last week.

I have said it before in another thread with regards to gas prices:

Gas prices are cyclical. The weather is cooling off and prices will drop. When the weather starts to get warmer, prices will go back up.

I work in the oil industry. Thank you for purchasing my product.

That old excuse doesn't work anymore but thanks for admitting to being an Oil Thug and benefiting from it.

Research confirms oil-replacement theory

Some years ago, the bitumen inclusions in rocks that often accompany petroleum gas deposits intrigued a CSIRO geologist.

Dr Peter Eadington speculated that gas could replace columns of oil by dissolving some or all of its more volatile components.

He retired before he was able to confirm the hypothesis, but an international research team has now proven it under laboratory conditions.

Yes, it does work. Look at the costs associated with how oil is turned into gasoline. It is not cheap at all.

Why don't you do some research on refining and see how much that cost is. Look into oil purchasing with futures, equipment in a refinery and upkeep. Have fun learning all kinds of new information.

Because the price did not drop .20 over the last week.

Never does here.

According to gasbuddy.com, Indianapolis gas prices have gone down at least .20 5 times in the last 3 months alone.

Went from $3.90 on 6/15/14 down 38 cents to $3.52 on 6/30/14.

Went from $3.66 on 7/3/14 down 30 cents to $3.36 on 7/17/14.

Went from $3.52 on 7/19/14 down 23 cents to $3.29 on 7/30/14.

Went from $3.52 on 8/9/14 down 23 cents to $3.29 on 8/21/14.

Went from $3.60 on 9/7/14 down 22 cents to $3.38 on 9/15/14.

All that going down and yet, here we are....higher than every period except the 1st. :hmm:

The midwest is fucked on gas prices, period. Spike up $0.30 to $0.40 in one day and then trickle down over the next two to three weeks just to do it all over again (as your graph shows). Lexington follows this pattern precisely.

Let's throw in crude oil prices and look at Indy for one year.

ch.gaschart

Looks like the bottom has fallen out of crude yet Indy is on a slight tick upward. Not $5.00 but not following crude for the last few months.
