I want the Lincoln version of the Fusion, the MKZ.

If there is an SHO version I think it would be fine with a more powerful 4 cylinder turbo. Built out you should be able to get 300hp out of that.

And the logo needs some wings on it, you know, like the Aston Martin logo...

They might be able to squeeze the 5cyl turbo in there, but if not I would expect something near 300hp. I think there is a variant of the ecoboost 4cyl that's close. In a car weighing 3300lbs(fwd) that would probably move nicely. However I would hope in a ST variant of it would have a true AWD system, just have to wait and see. Most idealy they shove the 3.5l ecoboost in there, that would be beyond awesome and I would be in the dealership in a heartbeat!

Eitherway looks like the fusion hybrid is out next vehicle! Can't beat 47/43 mpg's in that size of vehicle!

Only thing I worry about is visibility, since the beltline is so high. I know in the press release they said it wasn't compromised, but it sure looks like it will be.

That was always my biggest complaint about the Chrysler 300. Well, that and the fact that it is made by Chrysler.

Oh, and it handled like a pig.

would look 100% better without blinging wheels.

i'm not a drug dealer why would i want to look like one.

LOL, true.

I would probably constantly get pulled-over in this car because of exactly that reason. Lincoln needs to 'un-bling' their wheels and get rid of most of their chrome crap and they would look nice.

Has anyone here ever driven a car with those panoramic glass roofs? Are they noisier than a regular top? How about sun damage to the interior and greenhouse effect inside the cabin? I would think those would be major concerns with that. Seems like a good idea and it looks great on a show car but not very practical in real life.

Great looking design, except that overbloated chrome grille and wheels, as others have mentioned.

To Jules: There could be greenhouse effect, making it a very hot cabin if you park the car. But I would not worry about the leather. Leather now is such of high quality, and with use of special treaters, it should be a non issue. Heck, I drive a 1998 Acura 3.5RL and park it everyday in the sun, without the windshield reflector, and my seats are almost just as good as new. 🙂

No manual with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost. Game over for me.

I guess it is early but I wonder why they wouldn't give you a manual trans with the 2.0. Who knows though - the 1.6 could be fun? The last Ford I drove was the '92 Danger Ranger (2.4 IL4, 5 Sp). I wasn't inspired. LOL

Wonder what the effect is compared to a car with T-tops. That panoramic roof does have more glass to it than the t-tops provided on my Camaro.

As far as noise, there may be a tad bit more wind noise, but I don't think it would be too bad. Most noise in the car is from the road. The wind noise from my T-tops wasn't bad at all surprisingly enough, actually my sunroof in my current vehicle has more wind noise to it than my T-tops did if I don't have the shade pulled shut, which strikes me as a little odd.

I can't really see being concerned about the panoramic roofs and sun damage. They are pretty heavily tinted and most don't seem to care about baking their front and rear dashes all day long. Either way, there's always the shade.

I detailed an older Lexus that had an automatic rear sun shade. I thought that was pretty nifty. I'm noticing a lot of Mercedes and BMW and the like coming with manual shades nowadays too.

iirc, the glass is not the normal auto glass and is better at blocking infrared.

Dude. My Chevy has a manual shade. I would bet premium cars have power shades.
