I'm meeting with my acct Friday, its not looking good.

Last year we had a bunch of school credits for my wife's masters degree classes, + a flood zone credit + a energy credit for a new door I bought.

This year, none of that.

I figure we'll owe about 3k, normally my accountant can work some magic and find some money though.

FWIW there was a USA today poll that asked what you preferred last week more per month or big return

47% voted more per month small/no return
47% voted big return
6% didnt know that had an option

"Just think of how stupid the average person is, and then realize half of them are even stupider" -- George Carlin.

Interesting that those stats prove that statement exactly.

$1,865 here.

It's mostly going to getting my wife's engagement ring redone and a wedding band finally put on. I'm happy but man I would love a big screen TV lol.

$4,995 between Federal and State.

Wife is going to school FT so got the American Opportunity Credit, we moved and got a FHA loan which had a massive Mortgage Insurance premium up front, and lots of other deductions from donating clothes and other stuff from the move.

met with the dude. gonna be between 2-3k total

talked with my dad. hes getting back close to 50K again this year

Just finished mine last weekend. Getting back about $1,200 between Fed and State.

So, I was paying about $100 extra a month. Not that big of a deal to ensure no penalties or having to write a check.

Getting around $1700 from state and $4300 from the Fed.

EDIT: Just upped allowance from 1 to 3 using allowance calculator. More $$ baby!

3k, but my own little tax writeoff is going to be born March 21st, so next years should be better.
