getting about 1100 back. energy credit for new windows this year means the feds will be sending 1300 my way but i still owe 200 some to state.

but i do get to boost my exemptions up to 9 following the second kid and new single income status. projected to cut my fed taxes to about a quarter of where they used to be. second kid means another 2k state deduction for a second 529 too. could be worse i suppose.

My federal tax refund hit my bank account today. Just sent out my Idaho taxes (damn last job made me do it) and am only waiting on the $500 local tax refund (probably get in April) because of the work done out of town at last job. Will deposit most of it in the bank accounts and probably a few thousand in a thought out mutual fund(s).

$6K; zero exemptions all year. Tons of home expenses. This money is going to buy me,... more home expenses.

$1980 from the feds and $200 from CA. I was hoping my first kid was worth more, but apparently we made too much.

Much better then last year where we had to paid, ugh.

~$250 federal. No state as I don't pay state. Looks like I was almost dead on with my exemptions.

No idea... Tried to do my taxes, then realized the CRA (our IRS-equivalent) decided to change their online system, so I had to re-register, and it'll take a week for them to send me a new access code. FML.

Oh, and my lazy investment bank, whom I've given at least $1k in commissions and conversion fees, hasn't sent out my T5 yet.

Expecting something in the low hundreds. Earned my first full year's income.

I had maximum withholdings to offset my scholarships and investments but I still owe $900 to the feds and $350 to the state. Damn..

$1800

id prefer a smaller return.. letting the govt hold my money for an entire year pisses me off.

Federal I owed $4503, state I owed $914. I guess the hookers and blow will have to wait until next month...
