My gosh, that Charger looks disgusting. So do the 2005-NOW. Although, this new model has a better looking interior, but still no appealing. And, I got to drive an '08 Charger with the 2.7L in it. LAUGH.

Well, I will say the interior looks better but...

Outside and in, the reality that the Charger SE and R/T can look nearly identical is purely intentional. Dodge made sure that SE V6 drivers could enjoy the same street presence and comfort as R/T Hemi pilots.

That goes both ways doesn't it? It means if you buy the more expensive model it looks just like the cheaper one. I can't imagine why anyone would consider that a good feature. The Mustang does the same thing and it devalues the more expensive models.

The fact that the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine produces 292 horsepower is behind this last point. Amplified by 260 pound-feet of torque, Chrysler's new corporate six-cylinder produces the horsepower of a V8 from just a few years ago. Compared to the 2010 Charger SE's 3.5-liter V6, the new engine produces 42 more hp and 33 more lb-ft. Even in a car that weighs two tons, you can feel the difference.

Sorry, if this engine would have come out 2 years ago maybe I would be more impressed but now ford has a v6 in their mustang that produces more horsepower and more torque and the Mustang has 300-400 less pounds to haul around.

I guess if you need the extra doors a Mustang isn't an option. However, if you need the extra doors you would probably be better served by a small SUV or crossover.

I agree with the review on the transmission. Especially on the R/T that five-speed POS is/was holding it back. At least they got a bump in power, but it would of been all the more with a better trans with better gearing and an extra gear.

Same steering wheel, same instrument panel, same auto shifter, in every damn vehicle...

You will probably need the Hemi to keep up with a V6 Mustang...

I don't think the old 3.5L was that low on torque, it was 250hp and 250tq. So, the 3.6L has only 10 more ft lbs of torque, not 33.

Looks pretty good, I like the inside alot better. I still dont understand why they are sticking with the automatic transmission.

You can probably get the curret gen SRT8 for a steal with the newer models coming out.

I am curious as to what the new SRT8 will look like

Am I the only one that thinks the new old ones looked way better (2009, etc)?

i think it looks nearly the same on the outside. the headlights are tilted a little more downwards in the middle to make it look 'meaner' and it's now got a giant cross in the front grill, but that's about it.

I think Chrysler has had the best exterior styling in their class in many of their vehicles (Charger, Challenger, Ram, probably more) but their reliability and interiors are lacking.
