You'll have to get used to it, that's the new standard they want for the site.

I thought you were warned about this. You still haven't told us where you contract at.

Warned about what? Calling cowards like you an asshole?

I'm just not allowed to post my opinion

The only coward is yourself. Again, you've been warned by the mods. Hopefully, this will finally lead to your deserved permaban.

How would you know what they said or didn't say unless you are one of them?

I can't find the seperate Gas thread that was created after my oil/gas thread was locked.

Gas prices continue to rise:

1-15-2009 Louisville gas prices higher

Gas prices in the Louisville area rose as high as $1.96 today, according to drivers posting prices at courier-journal.com/gas.

Prices were higher despite a fall in crude oil prices. Oil was trading for $33.84 per barrel, down $3.44, on the New York Mercantile Exchange at midday.
There is a lag between crude and gas prices. You've been told this before. Oil was up around $50 very recently so gasoline is following it up now due to the supply chain. With oil down now near its bottoms in the past few years again gasoline prices will continue to drop at the pump. This is obvious to everybody (almost). In fact, I was going to fill up today and thought I have a few more days of gas I know that it will be lower then than it is today (it will be).

Do you realize you paid $4 gallon when it was $145 barrel and now you're paying $2 when its $40 barrel. Does the math make sense? You are talking out of your ass on this.
Go google "breakdown of a gallon of gas", then come back and talk with the grown-ups; as oil drops in price it becomes less of a percentage of the cost of a gallon of gasoline. Refining, transportation, distribution costs are not impacted by it. When oil was $10/gallon you were paying a buck or something, right? You expected that when it was $147 you'd pay almost $15? I'm ok with being insulted, but not if the person is even more clueless than I am.

The proof is in the pudding Barney. If you want, let's make a bet. Fuelgaugereport.com shows that right now on 1/16 the national price of a gallon of gas is $1.816. I wager with you that 10 days from now on 1/26 it will be less than that. If I'm right you have to respond, in bold with this in a single post, no other qualification or caveats: Skoorb is the master of oil and gasoline and I bow down to his understanding of the issue. If not, I will respond in kind to you on the 26th.

Dave, please go to another thread if you're going to go back to the anonymous cowards talk. This one has been quite cordial so far; you'll note I've not even insulted you once. Most of us are on our best behavior :)

You have been. Your cohost Capt Caveman has not.

I left this thread and went to the Gas thread in Off Topic.

Your anonymous buddy asshole Capt Caveman followed me there and continued his shot there.

and then there is reality which can be seen in a nice little one year chart based on factual numbers...

So what exactly would you do if you were provided personal info on people, Dave?

Barney isn't going to take my bet? :(

Gas is up from your post yet the price of oil is $36 barrel. Looks like I won.
Reading comprehension fail.

The wager was 10 days. Does this mean you accept its terms from 1/16, yes or no?

Go up with no real connection to whatever you call reality.
Gas is now over $2.00 at most gas stations in Sacramento.
Like "politics", all gas prices are local.

It's at $1.84. You still haven't accepted the bet, so your reading comprehension still fails. Why are you so against admitting you're wrong in front of complete strangers? It's not that hard :) It won't hurt and Mum will still love you. Oh, and don't presume to make me look silly. I do a great job of that on my own, thank you very much.

I've leave the bet open up through the end of 1/21, but of course it will be 10 days out from then; you cannot delay a time-constrained bet and expect its terms to stay the same, so 1/26 is out, obviously.

So much for your stupid bet.
No, gas is almost $1.85. If you had the nuts to have agreed to the bet, even after me pressing you on it, this particular post would be of a different nature. Too bad! Maybe next time?
