if i didn't know any better, from looking at the dallas crowd and even some players (Jason Terry) you would've thought they just won the whole series.

They haven't had much to cheer about, their best player has been a shrinking violet in crunch time... I think Dirk's performance and the team's come-from-behind victory did them proud.

Watch the replay, Davis doesn't even register it as being a kid or not.

Sorry Dad, but these things come along with the luxury of top notch seats. Should a player be required to apologize every time they dive into rows 1-4 to save a ball? No way. Bottom line, if you want to be up close to the action then you gotta accept the (very minimal) risks.

And on a lighter note, who the fuck cares if a kid gets embarrassed? If I had a dime for every time my pride was damaged as a kid at the expense of laughter for others I'd be wealthier than Davis himself.

girly fight? he damn near KO'ed a dude with 1 punch, which made a loud ass THUD on impact and he skated away. That's called Stick N Move. There was nothing girly about that punch, and the running away after he threw it, well that's just good defense, they can't hit what they can't catch lol.

that was a pretty solid punch though the sound it made was win.

They don't have to apologize, but I have never seen a player NOT turn around and say sorry / give the fan a hug. Bron once gave a lady a kiss on the cheek.

Sure it's not necessary, but if he didn't apologize (I didn't watch the game) it was still a bitch move by BB. The dad blowing it out of proportions is also a bitch move though.

Yes, and a 210+ lb player landing on a fan is quite a bit different than a little shove off on someone after making a playoff game-winning shot. Wouldn't call it a bitch move by Davis at all. Especially since he probably wasn't even aware what he did.

Speaking of landing on fans though, remember Shaq doing it a couple seasons ago? Now that would be scary, lol.

 
I think the kid was more hurt by the Magic choking at home and not closing out the series. If anything, the Magic team should apologize for ruining his night at the game. Those are great seats, but you've got to expect bodies flying in your direction sometimes and not be a pansy when they do.

As for Davis, in only his second year...what an incredible playoffs he's having!
 
Does anyone know if it's possible to buy tickets for Game 6 of Dallas/Nuggets even though it's not guaranteed to get to Game 6?

If it's possible, where do I go buy them?

I believe all tickets are sold at the beginning of a series, and refunded if not played. Even then they would be a bear to get.

Eventually someone is going to get a broken neck or back and the Nba will have to publicly answer to why they put the seats so close to the court without protecting the fans. But its a huge revenue generator tho, and great for marketing.

Isnt this along the same lines as a baseball hitting you at a baseball game? Has anyone ever actually sued a baseball team and won for an injury caused by a baseball?

Rondo's 4th year was exercised last year so he has one more year. He'll be no problem re-signing as long as the Celts dump Allen, who's a free agent after 2010/11 season. There's no way they can keep 3 max players and pay Rondo what he's worth.

Davis' is a free agent at the end of next year. Now he's making $750k but will obviously get a nice raise. Celts will have no problem re-signing him if he doesn't get greedy. He's palyed out of his mind in the playoffs but scores 7pts a game on 45% during the season and isn't a great rebounder. He'll be a career bench player.

Gosh, Mavs finally beat the Nugs (after 7 straight losses) and the Mav lovers finally come out of the woodwork.
