How did the Magic choke? Boston shot lights out in that game. The Magic played so-so. They were down the entire game, finally inched ahead, only to be beaten by a last second shot by Davis who was having a career playoff game. If anything, Boston has to be concerned that they played so well yet still barely eeked out a win.

As for Davis, in only his second year...what an incredible playoffs he's having!
He played great on Monday. Let's see if he can do it again tonight.

He's a pretty sensitive guy. Remember last year, when he was crying while Garnett chewed out the subs...
I predict it will happen. I'd even guess that its something the league has dealt with already, but has settled before any suits have been filed.

Eventually someone is going to get a broken neck or back and the Nba will have to publicly answer to why they put the seats so close to the court without protecting the fans. But its a huge revenue generator tho, and great for marketing.

Isnt this along the same lines as a baseball hitting you at a baseball game? Has anyone ever actually sued a baseball team and won for an injury caused by a baseball?

Edit: WTF is up with the quotes?
you are completely right. i cringe anytime a player goes into the photographers. really admire the players that are able to go all out not knowing what they are going to land on. they need to eliminate all obstacles from the field of play... its really not the injury risk IMO

Boston shot well, but only 1/10 for 3 pters and 66% for FT's. And the Magic took 13 more shots than Boston.

I don't think Orlando choked - they prevented the 2 biggest threats from scoring against them. Turkoglu and Lewis should be able to dominate Boston's forward tandem.

Orlando takes way too many 3's. They aren't even trying to move the ball.

And Glen Davis continues to play way better than a man his size should shooting jumpshots.

:)

Wow, after the way the Celtics were playing in the first 3 quarters, I didn't think they would be able to muster a come back.

Why are you asking this in the NBA Playoffs thread?

Abreu does have 12 SB's, though. He's more of a line-drive hitter than slugger. The HR's will come.

Because I don't want to get trolled on for making a stupid thread, and I figure there's gotta be one baseball fan in here.

I'm being patient. Have to admit he's come through in the SB department. Very good for my H2H league. 5-0 so far, I got lucky with a couple pick ups and trades.

OK.

Anyway, I've seen him a lot with the Phillies, and some with the Yankees, and he's a very good hitter. He's not really a "power" guy, but he'll have 20-30 HR's by seasons end. I wonder if he might sacrifice a little of his power game to fit in with the Angels' philosophy, anyway.

Wow Boston got sooo many lucky bounces on top of that BS home cooking call.

You mean the shot that did not graze the rim?

Yup, don't know how they could reverse such a call but they did.

Yeah, the replay looked inconclusive to me, and inconclusive = no change in the call.

OTOH, Orlando got the benefit of several very questionable calls early. And frankly, if you have aspirations of winning an NBA championship, you've got to be able to hold a 4th quarter lead of 14 pts. I've been kinda hoping Orlando wins the series because they could be more of a challenge for the Cavs than Boston, and also I like SVG, who got royally screwed in Miami by Pat Riley.

That shot clock violation was odd. When watching the replay the ball looked like it really changed it's path right around the rim. I just can't see how only the net would make it change direction like that.

OH MAN THAT LATEST "AMAZING" commercial was pretty damn sweet!!! I remember that. I have that game taped. Oh man, that was among the best NBA commercials I've ever seen.

Anyways, damn... disappointed with Orlando. Air-ball or not, they still should've held that 14 point lead in the 4th.

Woa....Modern Warfare 2 commercial. That looked PRETTY SWEET. Anyways, Lakers are now looking pretty good now. Seems like Lakers were patient and cat-like; attacking with a fury after feeling their prey.
