Sweet jesus...who would have thought that you'd have a 7' ape knocking down 15' jump shots to win the game for Boston.

Ok I understand he's not an awesome jump shooter but leaving ANYONE open jumpshots with just a one point lead is just stupid.

When you have Ray Allan, Peirce, and House on the floor you take your chances.

Yup. Davis is the last person you think would be getting the ball. But the Magic can't complain. They live by the 3 point shot and it at the end killed them. They didn't bother to drive that much during the celtics 5 minute scoring drought.

Magic took their last shot too early w/ too much fucking time left on the clock. Game time was almost 17 sec, they had a fresh 24 and they only burned 5 sec off the game clock. Major fail.

Actually, he's 6'8" and that shot was about 19'... :p

He's shown that he's a decent, if overly mechanical, mid-range jumpshooter.

Uh, you do realize that Orlando was losing at that point, right? Burn too much time, if he misses, they don't get a chance to get a second shot up. As it was, Lewis hit 2 free throws with 11 seconds left.

That shot instantly reminded me of Tim Duncans' 3 against the Suns. This might be the loss that breaks the Magics back.

I dislike Boston as much as the next guy, but I see a Cleveland/Boston matchup being much more entertaining than Cleveland/Orlando. As for the Lakers, they really need to figure out what the hell is wrong with their team. Even if they make it past Houston, Denver will dismantle them with the way they've been playing lately.

Same problem. Different year. LA just doesn't want to work for the title. You watch them play, then you watch Cleveland or Boston play. Cleveland and Boston don't give up on plays. Their guys hustle their asses of for every board and loose ball. LA just goes through the motions and hopes that skill can overcompensate for a lack of desire.

What about Cavs vs. Nuggets? I think the Nuggets could definitely beat the Cleveland Lebrons.

Why is there so much dislike for the Celtics? They are a hard-working bunch of guys who play as a team. That is admirable. Of course, we all wish they'd shut the fvck up...

The Lakers are far more frustrating. They have all that talent, but seem to lack grit. Even Derek Fisher's "we are tough" foul against Luis Scola was misguided. Toughness isn't about making Flagrant 2 fouls, it's about mental fortitude and a willingness to put your body on the line.

Heck, last year the Lakers got Pau Gasol practically gift-wrapped from Memphis.

I fully expect the Lakers to come out with a lot of energy tomorrow night.

I don't see the Celtics giving the Cavs too many problems. Compared with last year, the Celtics are missing Garnett, Posey, PJ Brown, Powe. Orlando might give the Cavs more trouble if they get hot, and SVG can devise a scheme to make life tougher for LBJ. It looks to me like Woodson, the Hawks' coach, didn't try to come up with any scheme for slowing down LBJ.

I don't hate the Celtics. Or the Patriots. Just their fans.

Nugs will never get credit, even when they do beat the Cavs in game 6. ;)

Actually, most of the New England/Boston fans I know personally are very nice people. The same doesn't go for the random person you see at a game or on the internet.

Rockets had to win that game...The Vegas line opened up at Lakers -3 then moved all the way to Lakers -9 after Yao was officially out. Too much money going on the Lakers so they had to fix the game.

Evidently, the Lakers were in on the fix.

It would be amazing to play the Nuggets in the finals. It would be like Cleve-Det v2.0 only with more sweep.

IMO, Cavs-Nugs would be an incredibly interesting series, if the Nugs are at the top of their game. George Karl and his coaches would need to come up with a defensive scheme a la the Celtics last year. Denver has some personnel - the Birdman, Kenyon Martin, Nene - he could do interesting things with. I think Karl would have to be willing to let Ilgauskus hurt them - having the Z-man pull Nene or Anderson away the defensive paint area would be bad for Denver.
