Maybe V.Gundy will actually double team Kobe next game. And maybe Orlando will hit their wide open 3's? They live or die by the 3.

Jerry West... what the hell were you thinking when you said Lebron has esclipsed Kobe?? After this, Lebron STILL has a LOOONG way to go. But, I do still consider Lebron to be a phenomenal basketball player. I have no doubt he'll become insaner. But as of now, Kobe is still the real King.

Haha, some people have told me Jerry West said it more to motivate Kobe. They're good friends, so it perplexed me when West said it. Jerry West is a sneaky guy. He probably did it to motivate Kobe, and make Lebron's head too big :p

he wasn't angry...just trying to pump him up.

haha thanks for clarifying. I was lol'ing from the first pump so i didn't see the entire scene :p.

Woot! Kobe's back in the game. Pretty much game over now. I do expect the Magic to come out more aggressively and rain 3 pointers next game (or when the Finals move to Orlando). Howard is also too good to just have 4 straight bad games. Then again, Phil Jackson is undefeated when winning first games of any series :Q

I realize that the lakers have it in the bag, but if you're gonna keep playing atleast continue with the ball movement not try and go one on one on every possession. Plus why doesn't phil out Sasha out there and give him some garbage minutes to get going.

Kobe's trying to get 40, but haven't made a shot since he got back out. Oh nm, just made a short jumper.

Yeah then after that its a game every other day up to 4. then another 2 day rest then every other day from game 5 to game 7. Kinda stupid I would rather it be every other day with 1 extra day when they have to fly back.

I guess abc doesn't want to show the games on Friday and Saturday when ratings are crap.

yea i can't understand that. you've played the same schedule for the first 3 rounds of the playoffs, but you switch dates for the finals?

i understand that the nba wants everyone rested as much as possible...but IMO all toying with the format can do is hurt the series. i mean...why would you change what worked for 3 rounds anyways? it allows the time for more media BS, more thinking, more crap in general. In reality, they just need to go out and play the finals. Same as any previous round in the playoffs. I would bet on a better series if done that way.

That was a Lakers clinic on how to mix coverages inside and rotate and help out around the perimeter. I hope Mike Brown was taking notes, he's got a lot to learn. Turkoglu and Lewis are no match for the energetic defense of Ariza and Odom either, altho will fair better in Orlando.

It used to be Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, repeat. Now its Thursday, Sunday, and Tuesday, repeat.

Same difference.

Awesome game Lakers. I want to see that intensity for another 3 wins.

No screwing around. Those 3's are going to fall for Orlando in a couple games. You cant rely on Kobe for 40 a night.

Lets get #4

@ Stereotypical Kobe haters: I hope you had your tail between your legs tonight.

You do know how much better the Lakers as a whole are compared to the Cavs right? Cavs you have Lebron and......Lebron. Mo Williams isn't consistent enough or good enough to be an All-Star imo. Lakers have Gasol, Odom, Kobe, and many veterans that make the Lakers a much better team. Give LeBron one good All-Star to help, and he'll at least go to the Finals.

Me and my friends stopped watching the game halfway through the 3rd. We popped in NBA 2k9 and a friend and I were the Lakers and my other two friends were the Magic. Won by 27 and scored 63 with Kobe :)

on a side note, kobe's revealed as nba2k10 cover athlete. does this mean we can expect sneaky elbows/knees incorporated into the gameplay? ;)
