so everybody agreed. it's a vibe/caravan/aztek

none are that good-looking IMO... esp after vibe got that new ugly grill... yuck.
Yeah I'm actually a fan of the Vibe but this grill has to be one of the ugliest I've ever seen. Also the base is 14K (and that's for the little engine), how much is the 300HP version going to run us?

I hope Dodge decides to compete in World Rally with these, that would be a great way to market these things to young people who go for Subarus and Mitsubishis.

btw, I was watching Grand Am racing on Speed, pretty cool watching Chevy Cobalts racing Acuras and BMWs, and Mustangs racing Porsches. Cars looked to be based on street version too, which is an attraction for me.

I was reading a review of this not long ago, and it looks like a pretty nice car. It looks ok, its supposed to be fairly cheap, very practical, so I don't see why it wouldn't sell well.

turbo setup running at 16psi under ideal conditions

As for the possibility of rally competitions, there are two main issues...the first being the lack of AWD in this SRT4 offering and the second being the high center of gravity.

The fact that the motor was designed between Dodge, Hyundai and Mitsubishi reminds me of the DSM days.

the civic si wagon only mode sold nothing like the previous versions. That's why the new 2006 civic si is coupe only. GM will find out too we arent all stupid enough to fall for my parents wagon with a turbo.

I don't know what it is with all you wagon haters, the wagons of today are NOTHING like the land barge woodies you rode around in as a kid.

Wagons/hatches are far more practical than coupes or sedans, and they are no bigger or heavier than their coupe/sedan counterparts.

Whether you like the look or not you cannot deny their usefulness.

Viper GTS

Sure, they're useful, but I want a fast, sporty car with good handling. Folddown rear seats are all the practical I require on a day to day basis.

The wife will be getting a minivan, a no-holds-barred, practical vehicle for when I really need it.

Looks like every dodge's design thrown together in some sort of a sick joke. Insurance on it would be about $500k/month, since it's only ricers who would buy this anyway, just like the current SRT4. 300 HP is impressive, though.

WTH! :Q

you can get AWD on it, you guys know....

You can get AWD on the normal Caliber platform, but not the SRT trim as it's not designed to handle the increase in power.

That thing is an ugly ass crossover vehicle, looks like a Caravan and a Durango were morphed together. Its nowhere near a Neon SRT-4 replacement, as the Neon is a compact car, not a stupid uglyass SUV.

Um its not anywhere near as big as the pics make it look. I saw one a couple days ago on a lot parked next to a neon and they are pretty much same size. It just a hair taller.

I like it. I saw an R/T today at the dealership... I would not settle for any less than teh SRT, but i got a good idea of what the SRT will be looking like in person 😀
