2007 Dodge Caliber SRT-4 @ 2006 Chicago Show -- 300HP

I was wondering if they'd do an SRT-4 of the Caliber...and I didn't think I'd ever say this, but the Neon SRT-4 looks better IMHO. Still, with those numbers and the right price, it could be a potent little rocket.

I still need to see some other shots...from that angle it looks like it ran into a wall.

Wow. I like it. But then I'm sucker for anthing with a hatch and retarded amounts of power.

I was thinking the Vibe myself. The Assteks smaller, less eye burning little brother.

i kinda like it, and gonna have alot of bang for the buck no matter what...i love hatches/wagons!

and how are they gonna compare it to the evo/sti/wrx when it only comes w/ a cvt on anything but the base???

100% guaranteed the SRT-4 will not be a CVT.

BTW you can build and price these (Not the SRT-4 unfortunately) on dodge.com, I'm specing out an AWD R/T for S&G.

one would hope...but u would think they pull out the 6spd that they made a big deal about upgrading every car w/ in '05 and at least put it in the r/t?

so everybody agreed. it's a vibe/caravan/aztek

none are that good-looking IMO... esp after vibe got that new ugly grill... yuck.

In theory the CVT should give better performance.

The reason I guarantee the SRT-4 won't be CVT is last I heard they don't have a CVT capable of dealing with that much power.

I'm specing an AWD R/T as $19,985... This bodes VERY well for the SRT-4 maintaining the current price point (or near it).

Forget the CVT. Drop a DSG in there and be done with it. 😀

I like it. I like the Vibe too.

I think this is a bit smaller, lower than a Vibe, but I'm not sure.

The caption say 0-60 in less than 6 seconds. If this has 300hp it ought to be a LOT less than 6 seconds. So that part doesn't make sense.

It's about the same size as the Vibe, but I swear it looks bigger in person. I like it, they are all over Detroit roads right now.

i donno...

I think it doesn't look too good. The front looks like it belongs to a truck, not a crossover.

I like the looks of the neon srt-4 better than that.

Looks like every dodge's design thrown together in some sort of a sick joke. Insurance on it would be about $500k/month, since it's only ricers who would buy this anyway, just like the current SRT4. 300 HP is impressive, though.

*clears eyeballs and glasses*

*looks @ username again*

hmm, damn I must've missed the couple of posts of when you came back. hmm

err, welcome back? i guess? heh. Although, most likely, you lurked most of the time w/ another username or something or something. 😕

EDIT:.. and ya i'm assuming it's a 4 cylinder car (SRT-x, x = # of cylinders i'm assuming). 300hp from 4 cylinders is pretty impressive, heh.
