Agreed. The should have used the major redesign to look forward instead of backwards. The ultimate looking Mustang IMO is the Saleen S351.

I gotta say, it's not a perfect design, but to me it's clearly the most attractive American pony car since the early 1970's. It's a great mix of retro and modern design, and has an appropriately no-BS chunkiness to it. I really really like it for what it is. When they make an IRS-equipped Cobra version (presumably with 400+ bhp), it will be hard to beat as an old-fashioned rubber-burning muscle car.
As long as they're making it a retro-mobile, I'd like to see that huge Mustang emblem on the back serve as a gas cap.
