You have to have dual-link dvi to run at those resolutions, and I'm pretty sure that the x850xt does not have that. Even if it did, I wouldn't game over 1600x1200 resolution with it, and even at that res you can't do much, if any, AA. I think the 7800GT is the slowest card with dual-link dvi. The 7900GT and X1900XT also have it. However, nothing short of SLI, Crossfire, or 7950GX2 will game at that resolution.

Anyone receive their rebate yet? Or for that matter...any e-mails indicating receipt, approval or denial of said rebate?

Nope. Checked the website listed: www.myrebates411.com. And I sent mine in way back on 3/24/06... sucks that there's no phone # contact, only email.

I tried entering the "promotion code" and got a error message saying the code doesn't exist??? The Promotion Code on the MIR form says "AM022403310615". Anyone else have a different code and/or does the above code bring up any details for you?

Thanks,

Bud

That's the same code that I have on my rebate form. It might show no details, because you're entering it under the "submit a new rebate" screen. I sent in my rebate manually and did not enter it on the website. That's probably the only way that you would be able to see the status of the rebate. It says on the rebate form, "Rebate checks will be mailed in 12-14 weeks after the promotion ends on 03/31/2006." 12 weeks after that date is 6/23 and 14 weeks afterward is 7/7. So, the good news is that all of our rebate checks will hopefully arrive in the next 2 1/2 weeks. It also says to contact sapphire@myrebates411.com.com (maybe a typo) if you have not received your check 16 weeks after the postmark date (which would be July 5 for me; I sent mine in on 3/15).

Hopefully the rebates are just being REALLY, REALLY SLOW, but we'll still get them in the end.

Anyone receive their $15 MIR check yet? I submitted mine back on March 7, 2006 and I sent Sapphire an e-mail ~ 1 week ago but haven't gotten a check or return e-mail.

It seems like the smart buying strategy for video cards is to wait for two refreshes (x1800->x1900) and then buy what was top-of-the-line a year ago at a massive discount.

There is no way someone could justify a X1900XT on the basis of performance/price, considering it costs almost 3 times as much as this card, for what, 50% better framerates at max resolution?

Yeah. Some people look at me like I'm crazy when I say the GX2 isn't the amazing card for the money some people seem to think it is because it's two cards in one. That's TWO!!

*sigh*

So we (batch of folks who bought this back in March) should be getting our rebates any day now...?
15 weeks and counting now?

The checks were "supposed" to be mailed out 12-14 weeks after the promo ends. So by July 7, the checks should be in the mail. We'll see.

Yeah, rebates suck.

I'd rather just have it taken off the price.

But that's just me.

Anyone with a check in hand for the MIR? I'm starting to think Sapphire's a crock with their MIRs. Over 4 months of waiting and no check:|

Safe to assume not one person who participated in this rebate got theirs yet? For kicks I fired off another email to them on their webform. That whole site is a joke...

"If you have any questions about the proceeding statement, contact us by phone or send an email toinfo@MyRebates411.com"

Anyone try contacting Newegg about this? At this point, I can care less about the $15... but it just makes me sick, how easy a company can get away with stuff like this :frown:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102688

this was $10.00 cheaper yesterday, so less than $112.00 after $30.00 rebate, i do about a hundred or more rebates a year, but have never done a Saphire rebate before, I hope they don't shaft everybody, I will keep an Eye on this thread to see if Saphire deserve's my business.

I just sold a X800GTO2 with ATI 5 AC silencer Flashed to X850XT and full retial box for $112.00 shipped, glad i got rid of it before i had to sell it for like $75.00.

I e-mailed Sapphire 2 times and afterwards got a "we'll check into" response via e-mail. I e-mailed and called Newegg and they said they couldn't help cause the rebate didn't go through them.

I'll wait a little longer and e-mail Sapphire again.

To my suprise, I got an actual timely email reply...
"Hi,

I am really sorry but your mail in information must have been lost in the mail. I hope you kept copies. If you have copies you can email them to me or you can fax them to 717-427-6-8611.
We have no control over the mailing system and sometimes this happens."

Is that even a real fax #??

Anyway, after spending hours rummaging through my desk I found copies of my invoice, rebate form... but UPC no where in sight!!! Argh!! :|

Anyone kind enough to send me a image of their saved UPC portion?

I started e-mailing them in late June, requesting status on the rebate. Like the previous poster, they claimed my rebate submission was lost and asked me to resubmit, which I did. I was told the check would go out that following week - a month later, not having received a check, I sent two more e-mails before getting a response saying it was going out that week. I received the check last Saturday.

Thanks to those who PM'd me to about the UPC.

I stripped out the "6" in the # and dialed. It went to fax line. So I hope that'll help.

Did you send your emails to info@MyRebates411.com? Also, where did you send your resubmission?

Thanks!

All of my e-mails were to Sapphire@myrebates411.com - I sent my resubmission via e-mail also in pdf format, after which it took a little over a month and 3-4 more e-mails before I actually received the check. Also, I can confirm from the e-mails I received from customer service that 717-427-8611 is the correct fax number.

Sapphire seems to be a CON. They seem to be banking on peeps NOT calling/e-mailing about their rebate checks and for the 6-month promotion window to quietly slip by. After which time Sapphire won't respond to any inquiries.

Time to start e-mailing on a daily basis. Hope they have a fast server;)
