Only 7 more days until CEO-Gary offers crazy deals in the chatroom and the servers slow to a crawl!

If you ask most web designer/developer thay will say "anything". Dreamweaver seems to be popular.

frontpage is good but it lacks the robustness And some stuff dispays funny under it (extra spaces or maved around stuff)! Also if you use it after you are done with the page you need to go into notepad and edit out all the stuff that is doubled or is not needed. Other than that it is good, i use it for alot of things but i dont use it to ftp my site i use and ftp progie for that.

I can also second dreamweaver. Something else I use is the Fileman site tools to edit my pages (visually and on the code level) and do some simple file transfers. There is info in the Dixiesys forums and I highly recomend it.

Hey asshole, if you don't like dixiesys, great. But don't post here in my thread and crap on it unless you have something useful to say regarding the deal.

This same sale went on during past July, and everything still works fine with no slowdown.

Like many AT members, I am a bit skeptical of discount hosting services after the Cyberwings fiasco. As a Dixiesys customer who has received an impressive amount of downtime, I feel that a big blowout sale at this point is inappropriate. I'm entitled to express my opinion in your thread in whatever sarcastic manner I choose. If that disturbs you, I suggest you avoid public forums.

You care a dick Mr. Tyler. Anyone ever tell you that?

<edit>
Actually, I think I am going to call you and tell you that you are a dick.

Evadman: Hello, is this Jerome?
Worms: Yes it is.
Evadman: Just wanted to let you know, in case you did not, that you are a dick. have a nice day.

Just to offer a counterpoint, I've been with Dixiesys for a few months now and have had only one problem (ie outage) in that entire time.

Other than that one incidence, I get quick turn-around on problems (less than 24hrs each time so far, and usually immediate) and have never had a problem uploading files. Using their forums to get support has been a great experience and all around I'm pretty high on Dixiesys! I haven't had a problem recommending it to friends and am eagerly anticipating upgrading my reseller account on the 15th.

Great. Cyberwings and Dixiesys are 2 different companies run by 2 different people. Your trying to compare apples & oranges.

As a Dixiesys customer who has received an impressive amount of downtime, I feel that a big blowout sale at this point is inappropriate.

Great. Good thing you don't run dixiesys, Gary Harris does. When you run your own business, you can decide what is or is not appropriate.

No, you are not, as seen here:
Forum Rules:

No thread crapping. If the subject matter of a deal does not interest you, do not post negative comments about it, or about other members, in the thread.

Being that this deal does not interest you, i suggest you leave this thread and take your business elsewhere.

Thanks.

I'm a little confused by your question so I'll just paste what they have in their FAQ.

"2 for 1 means either double the quota allotment on the web hosting and reseller page or receive two plans for the price of one"

Hope that answers your question. :)

Could you get 4 sites for the price of 2? Or 2 sites with double the quota?

of course. but you have to pay for 2 sides to get 4, or to get 2 with 2x the quota.

I was with Dixie for 1 year and I just dropped them. Gary is a very good person and tries to run a good company but it has become more and more difficult to get any problems fixed. They have a trouble ticket system which I think is terrible. Just my opinion.

Count me in on this one. I am already a satisfied Dixie customer. I have the $40 a year plan for low budget, non-profit site. I set up this account during the last 2/1 sale in July and couldn't be happier. The only downtime I have had/noticed was scheduled in the middle of the night. When I needed something, I have gotten e-mails from Gary in minutes, but never over a few hours.

I've been with them since the July deal and have had excellent service throughout. My site never goes down, and it is always extremely fast. I highly recommend them.
