I'll probably jump on that too even though I don't need it, but I hope they have everything figured out and don't overload themselves... could spell trouble.

1) Either you pay for 1 webhosting plan and receive DOUBLE the amount of bandwidth (website traffic) and storage for FREE.

or

2) You buy 1 - Get 1 Free.

I have 3 websites hosted with Dixiesys and I have nothing but rave reviews. For some odd reason I wasn't able to access server 14 last night?

This deal will definitely go into my sig and stay there for 2 weeks!

Man, I always miss these 2 for 1's.
Does Dixiesys have a 1yr contract, or can I just cancel my current plan and buy a new 2 for 1? Hmmm...

You can cancel it and start a new plan... or just write gary an email and he will probably just give you a free upgrade.

Interesting, anyone has screenshot for that Cpanel they used? You can probably get a better custom made deal at Webhostingtalk, but Dixiesys has been getting glowing review, so I guess its all even out.

Just send them a note via a trouble ticket. I upgraded last time during the 2-fer from the $19.95/year personal site to the $3.95/month site. They sent me a check for $15 (they can send it Paypal, too) prorated for the remaining months on the old deal.

I can also understand why they're warning about only doing the upgrade thing.... it's called capitalism. But if you ask nicely, who knows. (No whining!)

He's adding servers all the time and he is switching control panels from Plesk to Ensim because of cost and the better features it provides.

Cool I was wondering about Ensim. Do you know off the top of your head (or have a link) as to why Ensim is better than Plesk?

Here is Gary's explanation from this thread:

It has Ensim 3.1 Webppliance on it, not Plesk, me and Bug have been testing out Ensim for the last 2 weeks or so and frankly it hasn't managed to make us mad enough not to use it and it has several little things in its favor, here's a list of things we like:

Majordomo built in
Tomcat JSP built in
Service Plans - for resellers too!!
Squirrel Mail for webmail
Miva Merchant already in there
Sendmail, not qmail
Backup/Restore right on the control panel!
Built in spam filters (simple filter)
Definable domain aliases

It also has one of the nicest Frontpage integrations we've seen ever, now I'm not sure if it'll be MORE stable but it surely can't be WORSE than Plesk and Frontpage!

I'm in. Question seems to be double the space/bandwidth on one plan or two hosting plans?

Oh man. I missed the last sales back in July. Time to transfer my sites off Cyberwings (if they still exist). :)

Two thumbs up for Dixiesys!

Does anyone know how to figure out which server you are on? I read stuff on the main page about servers being moved and having to change your dns ip. I haven't had to do this, however my site goes down for like an hour every few days. Odd.

BTW, Dixiesys is the BEST.
