I guess that makes at least 4 or 5 of us that ordered from them. Reviews weren't all that great, but all I ask is that they don't rip me off, send the correct card, it works, and it gets here in a reasonable amount of time. Even if it's just an OEM instead of the Lite Retail as Saechaka speculated, it'll still be an awesome card.

 
I've ordered from PageComputers once before albeit a while ago. Things went fine, which is the only reason that I chose there instead of going through allstarshop. Matter of fact, I never even checked their resellerratings because of the 'history'. I hope that their seemingly recent turn of cheek doesn't affect their service for us.

I also agree that once things are figured out (by the online community at large) about this limited production run that the cards either won't be manufactured anymore, won't be manufactured the same, or will become even more expensive. Paying ~5% more now doesn't seem like such a bad deal to get in on the ground floor of this 'next greatest thing'.
 
Just installed my card and windows reported "Found new hardware X850" 😀

Installed the driver and now it shows X800 GTO. These are definitly X850s though 😀.

Im doing the mod right now.

Newegg is now $229.00 up from like 195...holy crap lol... Yeah these are going to be a HOT item... Maybe if you have one that worked you should pick up 2!

Best place now is Page Computers but they just sold out. Newegg was $219 this morning... Page Computers _JUST_ sold out. You can get a good deal on one at eWiz.com though.

Edit: If you want one, BUY NOW! If you ask me, these are all the X850XT and XTPE Cards just rebadged since they can't sell them anyways now that the X850XT and PE's are being replaced.
 
I just bought one from Atacom.com for $200 +$7.25 shipping, which is the cheapest now. Plus it's lite retail to boot.

i am out of the loop, will this work with my Dell Poweredge 400sc?

and what is this pci-e, all i know is my computer has an agp card and its buggy as hell.
 
Mod was a complete success!

This card reaches X800XT PE speeds! Im going to have to wait till I get an ATI silencer 5 heatsink before I do any serious gaming at these speeds though. Should be here at the end of the week.

Nope, the 400SC doesn't have any PCI-e slots.

as of right now, i am running mine at x850xt PE speeds using the stock heatsink but running the fan at 100% speed (it gets little noisy).

Have a VF700-CU on order.

the memory on my card is the 1.6ns memory 🙂

EDIT: Garlic, arent you the same as Onion from FW ? what other names you got on other forums 😛 I love Potato 😉
 
Stop ordering from Newegg alltogether. They keep tabs on the forums, and they know that we know what you get when you order an X800GTO^2. They figure if they raise the price $20 you'll still buy, start ordering from Atacom/Ewiz until Newegg stops being a bunch of dicks and lowers the price again.
 
I ordered the card from Pagecomputers on Sep 29th, but I still haven't received shipping notification or tracking number from them today Oct. 3rd.

I ordered a whole new system from Monarch Computers last night Oct. 2nd just for the new video card because my old system doesn't have a PCI-E slot. Today, my Monarch order is already on its way, but I am still waiting on the card.... 🙁

Got to hate retailors that ship soooo SLOW!!!!

I haven't receive any shipping notification from Pagecomputers either. It doesn't mean that the product hasn't been shipped. I've been spoiled by newegg.

apparently you failed to read the resellerratings on pagecomputers. IIRC, I read that they will take orders on items they dont even have in stock, hold your money for a few days/weeks (possibly earn interest ??) and then only refund back when you complain.

IMO, cancel the order from pagecomputers and get from ewiz.com or allstarshop.com

I am actually thinking about doing that! I knew the risks, that's why I used my AMEX in the purchase, so i get a 90 day money back guarantee from AMEX. I even called Pagecomputers on Friday the 30th to follow up on my order, a lady picked up and told me there is a 1-2 days processing time and my order should be shipped soon.

I will wait til tomorrow, if the item is still not shipped I will call to cancel.
