Wow, this is so tempting, hopefully the price will go back down again. I need something to replace my Radeon 9800 Pro.

Too bad it's Sapphire....would've preferred Asus or MSI myself.
Funny, I've always sought out Sapphire myself.
I loved their "Ultimate" 9600 & 9800 cards.

I guess it just depends on preference. I had problems with a Sapphire 9800PRO previously, and most of the PC magazines I've read only ranked Sapphire as the 4th or 5th best vid card manufacturer, behind other brands like Asus or MSI.
I guess that if another Manufafturer had the "fanless" setup like the Ultimates, I'd have tried them, also.

Currently, Gigabyte has the x800xl heatpipe - and so do I. :D:D:D

Dangit,

Had to bite on the Page Computers price. $203.63 delivered.

I wonder if this card will make it easy to want to sell my 7800GTX and use the money to upgrade to an AMD X2 processor. Decisions decisions.....

Crap that is a good price and it says its a retail... Has same MFG. Part number: 100130 as Newegg.com and all the others. Its $21 cheaper.... should I cancel my newegg one and get this?

Is it safe to overclock this with the heatsink/fan that comes with it?

If not, what are you overclockers planning to use? How difficult (and dangerous to the card) is it to take off the heatsink/fan and add an after-market HSF?

Use an ATI Silencer 5 rev. 2. Only $30 and works wonders. Its not very hard to change from stock to tha aftermarket cooloer, you just have to be gently and go slowly.
