I was at a half this weekend cheering on my wife and her relay team. Long shot, but was it the Gulf Coast Tri? Haha.

+3, trying to get back into running after about half a year off...

No, the Kinetic Half.

I kinda felt bad blowing by all those non-relay triathletes who had already swam 1.2 miles and biked 56 before beginning their half marathon. Oh, well, not much I could do about that . . . :whiste:

+2 miles on my birthday.

Ran the roads around the mountain cabin we are staying in tge Smoky Mountains. Went all out on the pace finished in 21 minutes(lol) with nearly 500 feet of elevation change in 2miles. Feels like I ran 5 miles This is why I hate living in a flat state.

Did my first 5K of the season on Saturday in 25:10 which is pretty good for me.

Did 7 miles on Monday as well.

How do you carry it? Just curious because as my runs get longer I am starting to feel the need to hydrate mid run.

For shortish long runs (less than 13 miles), I'll carry a Nathan handheld. For longer long runs (13+ miles), I wear my Nathan hydration pack. And if you are going to hydrate while running, do it systematically throughout the run.

4.2 miles tonight, the end of my running streak, I am taking tomorrow off.

+5 last night. The weather here went from the 50's to the 80's, skipping Spring entirely it seems. I sure felt the heat last night.

I don't mind running in the heat now, but when I first moved to Florida it was tough. I had heat exhaustion several times last year, and once was borderline heat sickness. I've gotten both smarter about and more resistant to heat - it's cool weather that bothers me now. lol
