+5 miles on Tuesday in brutal heat. Lost nearly 5 pounds just in water loss! Wednesday was back on the treadmill. When I was younger, I didn't care about the heat so much, but these days, I'm running indoors when there's a heat advisory.

I weigh 184 now Mursilis, and I've come back from long runs weighing up to 8 pounds less. And I drank 2 full bottles of gatorade while running and then drank a bottle of water upon returning to my van. I think I need to get my hydration pack back in service, the bladder needs a hardcore scrubbing.

What Megatomic (Jeff) said - water loss is normal. Texas heat - I used to weigh myself before/after long summer training runs...5-10lbs was pretty common. My advice for hot weather running - always carry a water bottle. Don't like to? Tough - get used to it. Longer runs - fill up a large bottle halfway and freeze it. Morning of - fill the rest up with water and go out and run. Whenever you get hot, dump some on your head/body to help cool down. Run in the morning, if at all possible.

Apparently, I haven't posted mileage since the NYC Marathon back in Nov 2011, so I will add 806 to the total. (About 3 months of that was injury plagued/off completely, otherwise it'd be over 1000)

Somehow Scorch beat me in posting his miles and I botched my tally, causing neocpp do the same thing. Sorry everyone.

+6 did the relay, ran a 600 in 1:26 breaking the old record, but I got beat by someone who ran 1:23! still, not bad for a guy who can't break 2:00 in the 800. mile was a lot worse, 5:04. pretty far from my pr actually, but oh well

15 miles again this morning. It rained the whole time, I kept cool but I was chafed like a mofo. Even my jank was rubbed raw.

Haven't posted in awhile, but I did a few 5ks (3mi), and for the first time ever in my life ran 8k (5mi) non stop yesterday. Got a 10k coming up in 2 weeks, hope I can finish it without walking

+ 72 for me. Actually took Saturday off as I was on a bachelor party canoe trip in the Adirondacks. Totally worth it.
