Well, good luck with the oral surgery Buddha. My sister had that done about 10 years ago. It worked but she was uncomfortable for a while.

Thanks man. This is the second part (had the other side done a few weeks ago). It's not so much uncomfortable as just inconvenient re: eating.

After two days off, did an easy 8 miles this morning.

3 miles today. Can't wait for this school quarter to be OVER (done on Thurs, can start training for real then).

Damn, I really wanted to hit the trail today but I got out of work late and it was already dark when I got home. I need to buy a headlamp. Stat.

87 miles since the last time I posted

Tapering for White Rock Full on Sunday. Not holding my breath on good weather as the last 4 fulls have all been absolute sh!t, but running with about 5 good friends all trying for around a 3:45-4, so should be able to PR by at least 20 minutes. I'll be happy with breaking 4:10 to be honest. After that, going to switch it up and start doing forefoot striking...did a 7 miler and the 8 mile Turkey Trot that way and limped for a week :|

Did a 7 miler on the CVT late yesterday afternoon. We pushed the pace to 7 min/mile for the first half and then relaxed it to 8 min/mile on the return to the car. Not too bad for a trail run.

Two things about yesterday's run:

1. It was the last nice day of weather for who knows how long.

2. My TekGear track suit with a hat and gloves is all I need for a run when the temps are in the mid 30s. I was actually overly warm after the first mile.

Man, running's a whole different sport when your primary concern isn't the pace you'll set over the next kilometre, but rather whether or not the next step will send you ass-first into a big slush puddle 😛 I gave up after 2 miles (but I'll add that later as part of my usual weekly tally).

Took the past two days off; I felt like crap on Monday, but had every intention of running Tuesday, except yesterday Ashlie and I drove out to Buffalo to see her grandfather immediately after work and didn't get back until after 10 so I didn't run then either. Did 6 easy miles today in the cold rain. Wasn't quite chilly enough for underarmor or a jacket, so I wore a t-shirt and my arm panties.

8 miles tonight.

LOL @ "arm panties" Scorch . I know what you mean though.

Sounds like nice weather - tonight I needed 2 long-sleeve wicking shirts, a jacket, toque, full tights and gloves to stay warm.

That's what Ashlie called them, IIRC. LOL

The weather has turned to shit up here, not sure when I'll get to run again. I'm not zealous enough to go out when it's in the 20s with winds blowing almost 50mph.

And I think we have a big storm coming in tonight. I can't wait for spring.

50 mph winds? Geez that's gusty. I'd probably still be dumb enough to attempt running in that type of weather but I'm young and foolish lol. Hopefully you don't miss too many workouts dude.

6 miles tonight.
