Well fellas, winter's started early this year. I don't have all the necessary stuff for snow running and no gym membership yet. I hope this is just a fluke, like indian summer only indian winter instead.

I'm already starting to feel the cabin fever.

last track workout before the marathon next weekend. Did 6x 800m in 2:40, 2:40, 2:38, 2:37, 2:35, 2:30. With warmup, cooldown and recovery jogs I have around 11 miles for the day. Another good hard workout that went well! 11,137

easy 9 today after a long day with Ashlie's little sister and niece. Felt ok though, and I only did 75 miles this week. I can feel the difference already!

52k this week, including breaking my half marathon pb twice! 2:05 in a training run Monday and 2:01 in the race today WOO!

brisk 10 after another long day babysitting Ashlie's niece. Wanted a 16-miler with 4-6 at MP, but I was exhausted, dehydrated and not well fueled so I figured a nice 10 would be a good comprimise. 11,197

Congrats on the 2 PRs! Fantastic! Not long until you crack that magical 2 hr barrier!

Scorch - you forgot to add your 9 miles from yesterday to the total.

I did an easy 5.5 this morning after 6 days completely off. Calves tightened up a bit part-way through but otherwise felt pretty good.

So that's 14 to the total:

12 miles today on the CVT. The really cool thing about this run is that my daughter joined us! Now I've got 2 of my brood out there. I'm a proud daddy. 🙂

Did 7 yesterday, and at LEAST 10 today running around cheering on my roommate and dad who were running the Columbus Marathon. Both qualified for Boston~

D'oh! Thanks for catching that, IB! Mega, that's awesome!!! You're contagious!!!! 😀 allies: that's great! You know some speedy people!!!

I did my 16-miler that I wanted to do yesterday after work today. It was a nice day, 50 degrees and only a few clouds, and I felt great the whole time. Tried to go easy for the first 12 but ended up running 6:45s-6:50s. Pushed a bit on the last 4, but was still well within my comfort zone; did around 6:25 pace or so. Really good run, now to rest up and get ready for the big race on Sunday! 11,256

allies - congrats to your Dad and roomie on making the BQ time!

Mega - does your wife come out on some of the family runs too? Good stuff.

No, I wish she could but her health is very bad. She had a stroke in 2007 and pancreatic cancer last year. She can barely walk some days. But my other son, the middle child, joins in every so often. He likes to go to races and volunteer at aid stations, that's pretty cool in my book.

Today the eldest and I did a hilly 9 miler. It was a great day outside.

Sorry to hear Mega. I'm sure she still cheers you all on even if she can't be out there running too.
