3 miles after a two month break cause of the crappy weather. Man that was pretty tough, seemed to spit this "mucus" type build up, but I'm guessing that's normal after not running for a bit?

That's normal

A mucous build up in your lungs comes out when you haven't run for a while? What is that?

Today's workout was a 10K run, which is about 6.2 miles, rounded down to 6 miles.

The first time I took up jogging years ago, I had something similar on the first run or two. It's like your lungs are cleaning out the cobwebs when you finally decide to peel your ass off the couch and do some exercise, although these cobwebs happen to be mucus. It's all natural I suppose :)

6 miles for me tonight. A new personal best for this year since I decided to get in shape.

I did 5 last night, but I've been slow this week because of work duties. I'll be back to my usual rhythm this coming week.
