5 easy miles this evening to stay loose. 10K race in Raleigh on Saturday, sponsored by my employer to benefit the local children's hospital. Last year got beat by 2 of the guys that worked at the main hospital. This year, is a different story. My time from the 10K 2 weeks ago was much faster than the two guys' time last year, and this was on a much hillier course.

6.2 this am. 3rd place masters. One of the guys that I wanted to beat must have been sandbagging last year. He cruised by me at mile 4, and I took 2:30 off my time compared to last year.

I took like one year off or something :S
Anyway, back to the running life.

+5 for my last two sessions

5 quick miles (for me), averaging 6:54. Feels pretty good after two days off to recover from a long bike ride.

this week. running about and 8 min mile now for most of the 7 mile stretch. I am looking at the NB minimus shoe- anyone have them? what do you think? I tend to run better with "free" form shoes vs the kind that are tight / heavy.

I'm running in the NB Minimus road shoes. They're not really minimalist compared to the trail version. But they're lightweight and have 0 drop.

+4 and +4, done til the BAA Half-marathon on Sunday.
