Guess what? I am spousally confirmed to enter the Wild Sebastian 100, being run Nov. 10 and 11 this year. Wow, good thing I bought a copy of Relentless Forward Progress...

'Splain. :p

As of Sunday, I'm registered for 4 50 milers, a 100K, a 100M,and 4 50Ks. Only concern is that one of the 50Ks is 7 days before the 100M. And I know that course is challenging too. May take it easy on that 50K, but if a mere 50K destroys my legs than my training for the 100M would have been woefully lacking. :/ Runner problems.

That's quite the schedule you have for yourself there mate. If you can pull that off then YOU are THE man. Which races are you signed up for? Javalena Jundred by any chance?

I'd like to sign up for a multitude of races but with us just having moved my resources are tight for a while. But I can say this, if Wild Sebastian goes well, I'm signing up for a more epic 100 next year, one that will qualify me for the 2014 Western States 100 lottery.

What it really means is this: she is completely on board with the training plan, the gimpiness, the lack of time that this race will bring about. She knows what I went through to get ready for Virgil Crest last year, and while it won't be twice as hard to do the 100, in her mind it will be.

Now to get her to want to crew for me...

Welcome Ventanni. Better late than never. And this effort will continue, you're here in plenty of time.

I totally missed the 5k run last Thursday, because I chose sleep over the race. It's not exactly like it sounds...the baby kept me up, so I only got a few hours, but oh well. I just did a normal workout instead. I finally am getting the picture about parents' lack of sleep, and our baby is even being very good compared to what a lot of people have to deal with.

But then I missed my workouts most of this week cause I was stuck in training at work. Ugh.

+3 Thurs & +4 yesterday

I've been logging 4.4 mi. for the past 3 days with my "friend." So that counts as double. We're gonna be doing this for the next few months. We've actually been doing this for the past couple of months, I didn't bother to come in here to log the miles.

+26.4 miles for the past 3 days.

+ 9 today. Ran 16:0x today. Dammit breaking 16:00 is freaking hard!!! Guess I can't check that goal off my list, but I can say that I am a 16-flat (.48) runner so that's cool!

You'll get it soon. I had the dubious honor of running every 5:0x from 5:00 to 5:09 before breaking it (for 1600). That includes one heartbreaking, AT 1600 at 5:00.03. But after I got it, it became a lot easier (in fact, I don't think I've gone over 5 for a 1600 after that race).
