Until the time comes where robot arms installed onto the webserver actually places an order into a box and puts the shipping label on it itself, human error will continue to ship product to the wrong address......

....naw, scratch that. Human error will still get involved somehow and fvck something up. :p

you have the right dudes' address, so try to make contact and talk to him. Maybe you could come up with a deal like:
He calls the company and tells him that he never got the ram. Mail is insured, maybe he gets a new set of RAM sticks.
You get to keep yours, no conscience problems.

no he's not.

you people are so quick to make acquistations and call names. You are probably the same ones to scream racist and homophobe at people as soon as possible without anything to back it up.

<< <The point is you're selling out your integrity for what at the time seems like a big lucky thing that happened to you, but in comparison to the other things that can happen, the free monitor was insignificant >

I called them 3 times and told them I had 2 extra monitors that they accidentally shipped me. They told me they had no record of the extra 2 shipments and would get back to me. By the third call, they said we still don't have any record but why don't you send one back and we'll call you back to see what to do with the other one. They never bother to call or email me about it and the company did a huge $1 billion+ IPO at about the time so I didn't feel that guilty holding onto it.

I don't think I sold out my integrity. In fact, I think I went out of my way to alert them. I've had this kind of stuff happen alot of time to me, especially by Onsale/Egghead. They have accidentally shipped me 2 extra Callaway fairway woods ($200+ each) and RAM without charging me and I've returned them.

Sorry I wasn't clear, I wasn't saying you in particular sold out your integrity. What I meant to say is if the same situation happened to someone and they just decided to keep the monitors with no effort to do the right thing, then he'd be screwing himself over something that isn't really that important.
