I've got to hit 46 hours before I hit overtime and then it's just straight time, not time and a half. Of course they just cut that too and told us I'll only get around a 2% raise with no hope of promotion next year. If the economy doesn't do better next year I won't be getting anything then either. Sucks.

perhaps. olds is a grouch but he is not stupid so i gather he knows what he is doing and how he expects it to play out. question is how do othe rmembers take it?
anyway im off to bed. we had my birthday party and i have drank far to much and i am beat.
i suspect this thread will be deleted by morning. though could be wrong.

Some of you are perhaps wondering why the moderators aren't considering this to violate the rules. Read the OP of this thread again. Realize that Olds is being Olds & cleverly used a thread title similar to those that were locked last week. However, this thread, at least the OP, had substance to it. What Olds did here is quite a bit different than the nef fest last week that flooded the forum. Compare it to the following OP's which had similar thread titles that were locked a week ago:
Notice the difference. The above quotes were done for no reason other than to create more threads of the same type, all within minutes of each other. This current thread created by Olds isn't one of those types of threads. Although he did use a similar thread title. Or, perhaps he looked for a clever topic so that he could do this? I personally did not view this particular thread to violate:
That said, Olds has been around here for a long time. He knows the rules, knows when he's walking a fine line, and knows when he's crossed the line. He knew he crossed the line last time & accepted his vacation (and fwiw, served the full 7 days despite bsobel's offer to rescind the vacations 2 days early.) Not that this thread didn't raise a few of the moderator's eyebrows - it did. It probably falls under that "fine line" category. However, in evaluating which side of the line a thread is on, we will also consider the context (ex. are there a dozen other similar threads all made in the last 5 minutes), the poster's history, and try to take a guess at the poster's intent. My guess was that Olds wanted to make the post he did, but also wanted to yank our chains a little bit. We tolerate our chains being yanked a bit more from people we respect than from trolls.

Yep, now I know. No Pressure/Time was alleviated from me because of the You know Who mod (starts with a P). Not really fair I believe, in this instance!
