Lawmakers are much better than scientists at determining which studies are worthy of government funding, since (despite lack of ethics rules) they are less likely to be corrupted by corporate kickbacks than NIH workers (who have extensive and strict ethics rules).
It is vitally important that every state where abortion is legal carefully document any abortions in their state including, how old the fetus was, and how the procedure was done and where the victim came from so that they can be prosecuted when they get back home.
That the government owns the patents on products that their scientists invented on government time is a conflict of interest and proof of corruption. Ooookaaayyy! ... Who the fuck do they think should own such patents? I’m going to guess it’s not the government scientists themselves. Are they just going to ban the government from applying for patents? Are they going to auction them off? Wtf?
The government should not partner with private companies to develop lifesaving drugs.

So I scrolled down that list of coupsters and damn, I don't know why it is, but to me they were all wearing brown uniforms, crucifixes on gold chains displayed proudly at the breast, with black armbands inscribed with a red circle in the background and a big black letter T on the fore, with their fingers extended, right arms slightly to the side and raised at the quarter degree, left hands casually gripping their belt buckles, heads at the tilt, chins stuck high up in the air. Can't figure that one out.
Blowing up the VA is one of the few sensible things. The VA budget is mostly just legalized fraud with millions of Thomases.

Any service member or people who genuinely care about service members who votes for Trump is a fucking moron.
It's funny you're mad at what I say yet the rest of the workforce has an Afghanistan/Iraq casualty rate every 1.5 yrs and vastly more workplace injury events yet worker's comp is just a pittance in comparison to VA budget. PTSD generally gets you nothing outside of the military or a paltry temp payment for lost work (so it's actually net negative as worker comp generally just covers 1/3 to 2/3 wages) and depression obviously nothing.
It's not, haha. Every veteran that wants it has a good shot at 100% combined rating on first try, but even if you fail, there is no finality to their claims. Even if they were seen and assigned a 10% or even 0% rating, they can turn that potentially into 100% and add secondaries. For ex, here for an upgrade on their original depression rating which is comically stupid to even cover for. Typically they throw several dumb things (migraines, GERD, etc. -- I know some go almost to 100 individual claims) along with depression/anxiety/adjustment disorder/PTSD for the separate mental health rating.

As a rule when Americans routinely demand "change" odds are they aren't going to actually like it when it happens and they'll go "not like that" (see also: Afghanistan withdrawal). Take that to the 3rd power when the actual policy and its implementation is a total disaster as another Trump term promises. I mean if there is one thru line here it's Trump and crew's total lack of competency in execution and these guys are going to start a war with Mexico and build concentration camps? BTW, as a retired veteran, allow me to inform you that you have no fucking clue how difficult it is to get disability claims through much less ANYTHING with the VA. They've FINALLY just started getting better and now MAGA wants to fucking undo all of that.
To get 100% for PTSD requires multiple diagnoses from multiple VA doctors. It drags on for fucking years. So much so that many end in suicide before they're actually helped.
Not to mention every couple of years you're reevaluated by THEIR doctors and have to go through the whole fucking process again if denied or downgraded.
In short, fuck off. Assholes like you are indirectly responsible for EVERY FUCKING VETERAN SUICIDE.
Just like the assholes who wear "veterans before immigrants" t-shirts while voting for GQP assholes who cut VA funding at every chance they get.

In my experience voters seem skeptical of actual change on a scale that is proportional to the size and abruptness of said change. A lot of slower smaller adjustments create fewer ripples than a single big one. Trump out there promising stuff on the hydrogen bomb effect end of the scale which could have wildly unknowable consequences.
Found the loyalist during the revolution.......
