Question MSI Geforce GTX 1050i Gaming X 4g -- fan speed 100% all the time --so annoyed

Thought I would update this. turns out I received a bad card. After doing quite a bit of testing, I could do nothing to get the fan to spin down normally. This is the second NVIDIA card that I have had problems with. I picked up a AMD card and it worked without a hitch. Not trying to...

Question MSI Geforce GTX 1050i Gaming X 4g -- fan speed 100% all the time --so annoyed

hey folks, I picked up a new GPU as my last GPU bit the dust. I found the above card on sale for a good price and it would be a nice upgrade over my older AMD Fury GPU (3.5 years old). I received the card, plugged in, booted up just fine. Everything appeared to be ok....initially. However...

Question Saw 2 sparks fly out from GPU last night...

Got it. Just did the test (had the little adaptor that came with the PSU) and the PSU fan spun up when I connected to it. I would assume that means the PSU is ok. Which makes me lean more to that the GPU tapped out. It was fairly old, and i pushed it pretty hard for a few years. I just happened...

Question Saw 2 sparks fly out from GPU last night...

I was doing some gaming last night when all the sudden my screen went blank. The PC was still going (my LED memory lights and fans were still working). I powered down the rig, let it sit for a few minutes, then opened the case to check everything out. It all seemed ok. I then turned back on the...

Need heatsink/fan setup for Xeon E5-2603 v3 CPU

I was thinking the same thing...i really dont want a vertical heatsink so i was looking for something flat... there was this one: http://www.amazon.com/Dynatron-R30-Active-Coolers-Processor/dp/B00O8JLARQ which appears to be flat...just dont want a big heatsink standing straight up. :)

Looking for a headset and mic

I am hoping this is a pretty simple request here. What i am looking for is a new, comfy headset and mic. ideally, I *hope* i can find one where i do not have to have a 'push to talk' button, but it is good enough to detect when I talk, but also not pick up background noise. Anything out...
