The screws seem a little bit too tricky for me. Later I'll try to make a new backplate. A heavy isolated 3-4mm aluminium plate with two tapped holes should help and takes for sure not as much time as ordering a new cooler.

You're right :-/, the screws are a little bit too short. Zalman answered me I have to contact their german distributor for an backplate. This distributor (WAVE/Alternate) likes selling new coolers, but won't give me one backplate ... Everything lies in front of me, only this §$%$§%&§% backplate...

Thanks. I already mailed Zalman yesterday, but no answer till now. Ok, a little impatient ;). The other thing, I can't believe that they would ship this plate to Germany ... We'll see.

hi, i've got an old cnps 7000, too. Unfortunately without this zalman backplate. Can i use the original dfi instead?

Hi, Is there a comparison at ~333Mhz ? Or has someone experience ? Most tests benchmark the E dram only with 266 (1:1) . The i845G at 133fsb clocks the ram with 333mhz and some i845E (GB 8IEXP) clock it with 355 (3:4). Is the G the faster chip or are the G/E equal at 333/354 ? Thanks in...
