    Win2K on PIII750@1035 in ACPI mode gave me 6:20h for 0.417 AR. If I installed in Standard PC mode the same WU was done in 6:10h. That's about 2.5% decrease in time. It seems the IRQ polling of ACPI introduces a small overhead. Of course I don't know if you installed in ACPI mode, so I'm just...

    It must be some kind of version filtering, as I have no trouble getting WUs with 3.03. It makes sense to first starve the old client before rejecting results. But, this is just guessing.
