I just got Partition Magic and Ghost yesterday in a bundle. I had an unallocated, lost partition on a 250 gig WD Caviar filled with video, shns, flacs, mp3's. Partition Magic fixed it in 5 minutes. Great, great program. hth.

Update: I think the problem was a bad motherboard. May have been defective. I bought it bundled with an AMD processor for a great price. It was an ECS 755-A2. Might have damaged two WD HD's. bummer. New mobo and new Raptor. Running nice now. Yee haw!

Update: The problem seemed to be a bad mobo - ECS 755-A2 burned out in a month and may have damaged two WD IDE HD's. Hope that helps.

Are these symptoms of a dead motherboard? Windows XP installation stalls. Formatiing stalls for hours. keyboard or mouse stops working. Windows can't install on the partition because the disk is damaged. My system worked great for a month, then started to crap out with keyboard errors...

Where does everyone place their CPU and HD temperature leads exactly? I used a short piece of electrical tape t fasten the CPU lead to the heatsink's fan assembly so that it is touching the fins on the facng up side of the heatsink on my AMD 3000+.
