One question - why the huge overload on protein shakes? If you're doing this for health, drop the shakes and eat real food, preferably vegetables and fruits. Your kidneys will thank you later.
Also, to be ready for endurance hiking, you need to be doing more things that build endurance...
Nothing under 60? Froogle shows about 5-7 in the 30$ range.. and PCI wireless cards are cheap as heck also (just saw one for about 6$ recently). But, Like RebateMonger stated.. there could be circumstances where PowerLine networking is the best option.
As for surge protectors, there...
Ditto.. especially since that Power outlet job looks to cost about 10-15 bucks more than a 802.11g wireless bridge.
And I guess you would need 2 of the Power Outlet doohickeys.. so make that "a lot" more instead of 10-15.
Those are just different names for the same thing. Here is the JEDEC naming conventions for DDR2 memory.

Any of these would work with your MB. Since you're not planning on overclocking, just buy the cheapest 'quality' DIMMs you can get. (But I would say stick...
Just curious as to what kind of data transfer speeds are you looking for?
Personally, I have the following setup for my nightly backups (<100MB of data) over 100mbit wired connection...
AMD K6-2 400 w/ 368 MB memory (this is way overkill :) )
a couple of PCI NIC cards
PCI SCSI card &...
Either will work fine.
The main differences that I can see between those 2 dimms (besides the speed - 667 vs 533) are the timings. The timings on the 667 are relaxed (4-4-4-12) vs the 553 (3-3-3-8).
Now which will give better performance? I haven't seen a conclusive benchmark on...
That's pretty much the best method. If you are testing both sticks individually in the same slot, and they both pass, cylce the test through the slots with a good stick.. Since this board has 4 slots (If i remember right), if you have 1 bad slot, you still may be able to use the other 3.

Couple of questions for the OP:
What do you mean by 'Digital Power Supply'?
What is a digital amplifier? An Amplifier by definition is analog, not digital (although there may be some Digital->analog conversion involved before amplification but that has nothing to...
