As soon as I installed my intellimouse explorer, it gave me problems with D3D games. The mouse has a 1-2 second lag, it's horrible. I tried switching back to my normal Microsoft mouse, but now it lags too. Perhaps it is the mouse driver? Help!

No matter what res I run it at, I cannot get above 75 FPS. Is there some code that makes this go higher? I have A 1.45 Ghz Athlon with a Geforce 2 Ultra.
