    i had the plextot 8x dvd writer. tons of problems. always had problems reading/burning. the time would say like 2 hours or it would fail and sit there. never had a problem with my 4x liteon. in fact in ran 3 times faster then the plextor, plextor used to be the best but now they are junk. too...
