I would say maybe the lack of ram might be at fault. XP is a ram pig.

Either that or can you boot off a floppy, access the hard drive then del the file that way. Or take the HDD out of the machine and put it in another, then delete the file that way too.

I know you can in full blown Outlook, however I haven't seen that feature in Outlook Express.

I wouldn't worry about it not being on Windows update right now considering its still considered beta, if you are wanting to put it on your other machine, simply download the full installer, just google it to find out where you can download it from

To get past the loading of the SATA drivers from a floppy disk when Windows is loading up, you can make a Windows XP slipstream CD that has them built in, then you don't have to provide the drivers for it. Works really slick

You would see a performance difference yes, but its up to you to figure out if the increase is worth however much a 6800GT will cost ya. I would say it would be smarter to wait till next generation cards are out. Unless you get a smokin deal on a 6800GT.

Yeah I'd say it is probably on its way out. DVD burners are cheap now anyway compared to when you bought your Pioneer. LG has their Dual Layer DVDR out for quite cheap too as I'm sure Lite On does too.

I have heard a number of people that have trouble with Ghost and using SATA drives or even RAID drives. There have been a lot of mixed answers. Some people claim they have gotten it to go while others haven't had much luck. Maybe the ones who couldn't get it to run didn't know how to set it...

I've got a couple of WD Raptors in RAID 0, and using HDTach for benching I only get 70 mb/s at best, however I see others with regular drives in RAID that are scoring close to like 100 mb/s or better. I've run HDTach a few times now, with fresh install of windows, after defragging. So I guess...

I second Smoothwall, I've been using it on my LAN for over 2 years now, not only is it free but high customizable too. It is rock solid and provides lots of different logs as well as it is easy to setup as you don't have to know linux to set it up.
